Bad Trader Alert - member RiX

Hello folks,

Some of you here may have worked with RiX in a trading capacity or two. As of this morning, Ricky was asked to provide information about a trade and where an item was sourced. Unfortunately, after a large amount of back and forth he decided to not provide this information, even if it would be held in confidence by me. We never like to do this, but he was banned from the forum for a short amount of time.

I told him if he reconsidered and was willing to help resolve this issue, I would allow him back on the forum.

Unfortunately, this is the response that I received and I am now issuing a general trading alert. Contact a trading moderator if you need assistance.

I never post confidential conversations between myself and traders, but given the SERIOUSNESS of this threat, I decided to post it such that there is no question about what was said.

I have outstanding orders with other members worth much, much more money.

I have received the money for these items and will not fulfil them unless I'm reinstated to the HDN forum.

Message #2:

You can now inform people on hdn I am keeping their money. I won't be returning to the forum. There's more than one.

If you paid via regular paypal, please contest the payment ASAP.

Remember that if you pay by paypal gift, the options of a trading moderator are severely limited in their efforts to assist you.

EDIT - if these are indeed more than threats and problems do occur - I would like to ask any UK member interested in assisting to please contact me. We may take legal action against this user.

Irrespective of the banning decision, one should fulfill any outstanding order or at least refund the money. Not doing either of these equals to theft. I hope the buyer gets his/her money back.

The problem with this sort of thing is everything on the forum is down to trust! Especially GB's and people buying things for others and being trusted to send them on. So people paying In good faith and then being robbed of there hard earned money, is the lowest of the low!! Well I hope any one in the UK that's affected calls the old Bill and he gets his comeuppance

I truly hope this is the case. I dealt with him when he first joined and had no problems. From some of the posts, I did not see the amount of back and forths he had with others to have them form the opinions they have of him.

Even in the heat of the moment, there is no excuse for these threats. Deal with the person or persons you have a problem with and leave the innocent out of it.

I really hope everyone having to deal with this gets it all sorted out in a positive way.

that sucks! I have met lots of great people here and sometimes there's just some bad apples! I would be okey if the mods would post their real names/addresses here. The world is such a small place that one person can easily be tracked, so messing up someone for a measly few dollars is really not a great thing to do to. Oh well, karma always gets them in the end.

I just really hope anybody who's owned money or goods from this business manages to recover what they're owed. It's a horrible thing to be caught up in, and something that nobody who trades in good faith deserves.

Could very well possibly be the case, due to his great feedback here. So if anything perhaps a very bad choice of words. But it still shows character. Couple those words along with always being a negative nancy and its just not something HDN can take so lightly. Threaten to kick our ass, or call us names, not steal member's money.

Well I am sure Rix will log on as a guest and read all these comments. Everyone on this forum is in a position of trust. Without trust this trading forum will not exist. And to breach that trust is a serious breach of integrity.
