Bad Trader Alert - member RiX

Hello folks,

Some of you here may have worked with RiX in a trading capacity or two. As of this morning, Ricky was asked to provide information about a trade and where an item was sourced. Unfortunately, after a large amount of back and forth he decided to not provide this information, even if it would be held in confidence by me. We never like to do this, but he was banned from the forum for a short amount of time.

I told him if he reconsidered and was willing to help resolve this issue, I would allow him back on the forum.

Unfortunately, this is the response that I received and I am now issuing a general trading alert. Contact a trading moderator if you need assistance.

I never post confidential conversations between myself and traders, but given the SERIOUSNESS of this threat, I decided to post it such that there is no question about what was said.

I have outstanding orders with other members worth much, much more money.

I have received the money for these items and will not fulfil them unless I'm reinstated to the HDN forum.

Message #2:

You can now inform people on hdn I am keeping their money. I won't be returning to the forum. There's more than one.

If you paid via regular paypal, please contest the payment ASAP.

Remember that if you pay by paypal gift, the options of a trading moderator are severely limited in their efforts to assist you.

No its not. It is info you can get legally. You can find anyones name and address online legally.

I have his physical address if anyone wants it. His ebay username is friskydingouk. I suggest you call the police and file a suit against him.

I don't think giving out his address willy nilly is the best option

Contact HDN member first > if he refuses any contact then report him for Fraud via the website mentioned by Wootball ensuring you give as much info as possible...takes about 20 min to do.

Maybe part if it was from the thread he started being "under review". Either way. No excuse for stealing. Hopefully it gets sorted.

It's one thing to be angry with the mods, but to take from members who haven't done anything is not cool.

He started becoming more of a troll and hard ass after the holidays because he kept claiming his place got robbed. They apparently took everything except his steelbooks. I didn't think he would stoop that far as to robbing other people on here. That is a shame that he did.

I hope that he sees the error of his ways and returns the money and/or steelbooks that is owed to others. It's the gentleman way of finishing off a deal with another. My mother always told me if you owe something to someone else, don't keep them waiting, you pay up and be done with it.

I for one think that is an atrocious way to behave, no matter how angry you are at the time, and its defiantly revelling as to the character or lack of from this guy!!!

I always had a bad feeling about him from all the negative posts he made, and I for one will not be sad to see him gone.

I hope anyone involved with him gets their money back ASAP and if not I agree take legal action and don't let him think he can get away with this kind of behaviour.

I also thank the mods for watching over us and informing all fellow members what the situation is.

It baffles me on how members do this. I never dealt with Rix but I've had other situations where I had a hard time on another forum. It's like you have to keep hassling them just so they can send the item you paid for. Pathetic in every way and if you can't hold your end on selling the item than don't sale at all. I try to keep my seller list minimal at best. If I go through someone for the first time I tend to send a PM to other members who bought from him/her in the past. In that way I get a good idea of who i'm dealing with.

I hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

It's always bad to hear things like this , people don't deserve to be treated in this way ..
from the messages it seems as though rix has spat his dummy out and chucked all his toys out of his pram never-less , i think he should grow a pair of B***S man -up come back and give everyone there money back or return steelbooks , nah he don't deserve to come back here who the hell am i kidding .. I hope everyone involved gets their money or steelbooks returned ..

Sure send it my way. BTW he posted a picture of the Pulp Fiction Japan edition in the newly acquired thread that I shipped him. I need to report him to ebay, but I don't know how to get the case overturned as there is no tracking info as he paid for the cheap first class shipping instead of priority. I need evidence on here for ebay or something. I need to have him banned permanently on ebay so he cant scam others.

Due to privacy concerns, please don't post another members information publicly.

HDN retains a list of known aliases and addresses of actual scammers if we need to follow up with police and they can be shared that way.

When a trading moderator or staff member asks for info from any member - we're typically asking to help folks here...and resolve an issue, but all that info is kept in confidence. It is treated as confidential communication.

Thread locked for now, will bump this again for folks that haven't seen it.
