There’s a lot of talk about licensing for the art of the boxes and for the rear of the slips, but who is licensing the art for the front of Batman? Is it the studio? The artist? Is he/she ok with the modifications to make it more “suitable” for a lenticular effect?

Hopefully we can get some indication if this will remain original and fs before cash starts changing hands.

Exactly why is this being glazed over? What ever happened to artistic integrity and creative freedom of the OG artist of his or hers amazing original artwork!

I have so much to say about the “I’m done with this” comment In regards to someone’s opinion of the quality a lenticular product that I don’t know where to start.

Over the years ALL of the biggest ballers (who actually make proper WEA premiums with WEA steels) in game have had some horrendous feedback (and rightly so) in regards to their finishes of slips, steels and the quality of their lentis. Look at nova and blufans. They produce some of the greatest lentis around but they have also made some of the worst (most recently novas kick ass lentis) yet I don’t see them taking comments personally as a company. Someone’s bad feedback is someone else’s praise and vice versa. Every so often everyone’s on the same page of disappointment or joy but that’s rare. The joy side is even rarer lol

From what I’ve seen over the years of collecting is that Manta have seemed to pull that off more regularly with at least one edition from a release whether it be a lenti and steel package, full slip and steel package or the full package that gets praise all around. imagine if someone complained to them about the quality of the A Star is born full slip (which was probably their most disappointing full slip I’ve personally seen and remember similar comments towards their lenti) and their reply was that they are “done with this” lol

167 euros which is $246 Canadian for 1 box in the GB. 6 Catwoman sold. 0 Penguin sold.
As usual, I decided not to participate.

Well I'm not sure but I think that the GB went a day early. If there aren't more copies today then there may be some ticked off people. Of course I could be wrong about everything which may tick people off anyway

Well had I been on the fence over this release @duckandrun's comments in this thread certainly helped my decision (n)

I hope it's just the language barrier because not for the first time the way he speaks to potential customers is just appalling. Guess they don't have 'the customer is always right' in Italy :rofl:

I was hoping for some clarification but now that the GB has gone live, apparently early, I guess that's out the window.
Plus the radio silence duck has vowed to uphold...
It was all going so well when you first pointed out how losing Batman in the background (which is the one that worries me the most) was a bad idea. I thought there was a chance he'd reconsider.

Despite saving for a car, I caved bought the Penguin edition.
My first Cine-Museum purchase as well, thanks @Aniv for hosting the GB.
Looking forward to seeing this as it’s my favourite film of all time (Batman)
It’s a shame this artwork was not on the steelbook but alas, thanks @duckandrun i can’t wait to see it.
