Seems to be a bit of a pointless set really considering if it's only 9 films, it won't have all the superman and batman films inside. Plus it looks awful.

Looking at the image it Will probably just be an oversized steelpack with a digipack +extras like a picture book similar to what they did for other releases like Ben hur/breaking bad etc...

But as steelselecta said it's pointless if it doesn't include all releases..

Surely at 9 films it contains Superman I-IV, Superman Returns and Batman/Returns/Forever/& Robin.

Why make a Superman/Batman set that doesn't include Batman v Superman? This could be really cool if it was fully complete

Because it's not that type of set. It wont contain Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy either, or Man of Steel.

It's simply going to contain the original Superman and Batman anthologies started by Richard Donner and Tim Burton (with Superman Returns included as it seemingly counts a a sequel to the Christopher Reeve movies). By adding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you'd be taking the third part of a different franchise and putting it in the box for no good reason other than the fact that Batman and Superman appear in it.

I see what you mean. Something about the set still feels weird to me. I like the concept though.

I agree it's a weird idea. Warner simply putting one set of Superman movies in a boxset with a set of Batman movies. Sony are no better with their Spider-Man/The Amazing Spider-Man sets.

What has always frustrated me more, is that while Superman Returns is always included in these Superman anthology collections, Supergirl isn't. Supergirl is clearly set in the Christopher Reeve movie timeline (more so than Superman Returns) with Marc McClure reprising his Jimmy Olsen role, a poster of Chris' Man of Steel and mentions of Superman being off-world and The Daily Planet.

The big Spiderman set didn't make sense to me either. Two movie series being put together simply because the main character is the same. It doesn't work.

I've never seen Supergirl so I didn't know that!
