Best Blu-Ray Player Black Friday Deals?

Looking for some recommendations from other members on what they've seen out there, on-line or in ads for a fairly nice Blu-Ray player for my dad. He still has HD DVD, and it's time I force him to make the upgrade. I see this Toshiba available from Best Buy at $39.99...but is it any good? any other recommendations? Cheers and thanks...

Hey Watch, I'd read some reviews at CNET, ZDNET, and a few other sites, to see what recommendations are being made for your price range. Panasonic and a few others are known to make very stable players and provide firmware often to 'fix' any bugs. I am not sure about players in the $40 range, but here's another source where you can read customer reviews on some popular players at Amazon. By comparing a few retailers and review sites, you'll get a good idea of good players under, say $100. Once you get an idea of reliable brands, models, you can see what BF deals are the best.
