Wasn't it because Disney US came up with some ridiculous idea about charging twice the amount for 2D+3D combi's?

I think they gave Amazon a wholesale price for the 3D titles that was more than Amazon was willing to pay as it would never be able to make any money on them after discounting to a price the consumer would pay. Disney dug their heels in (as they always do) so Amazon wouldn't back down. I don't know if the wholesale deal was offered to other retailers (I assume it was), but I'm guessing they said no too.

I think it was something like that anyway.

Theres an awful lot of 'White Space' (or in this case 'Red Space') on that design.

Both Region B which is good... Both include 3D which is good... But €27/£23 compared to double it for a nicer steel...

Unless you can wait and maybe Blufans/HDzeta/Kimchi might release it with different artwork.

Good point. I don't have 3D system so those usually end up being extra disc for me.

yet they continually release 3D blu-rays in the smaller UK market? hmmm

Despite being anti-3D, if a movie can make money being released that way- they go for it. i.e.- probably everything they can release in 3D in China & Korea they will (because China and Korea go nuts for 3d).
Their stats must say that previous Disney UK 3D releases spell $$$.

Up until yesterday I had no way of playing 3d at home.
I have always on Disney releases at least always bought the 3d version and now I am glad I did.
Watched Tangled this morning on my shiny new Samsung UHD and was blown away by the 3d.
I am just glad that we are still getting the 3d versions in the UK.
