I don't mind watching an animated movie in 3D in the theater, but I will NEVER want 3D for home viewing. I just don't care about it. After the first 5-10 minutes I'm so into the movie I always forget about the 3D anyway. It always happens.

lol, horses for courses; I hate 3D at the cinema, it's so hit and miss, gives me a headache and just doesn't look very good. At home I love it, full HD, crisp, no headache (which is quite surprising for my head) and is infinitely better.

This.

I've always found the 3D experience to be much better at home. I never bother going to see a film in 3D at the cinema nowadays.

I really need to get a 3D player :emb: I've also never been enamored with 3D in theaters. Gives me a headache too. Part of my problem though is that my receiver is so old that (a) it's not capable and (b) doesn't even have enough inputs! So it's not really the player but the more expensive receiver that's my limiting factor. Regardless, I still try and get the 3D discs when I can. I'd hate for a movie to go back into the vault, and then I wouldn't be able to get the disc at a reasonable price later down the road.

Couldn't agree more. 3D at home is infinitely better than at the cinema. I avoid 3D films at the cinema like I would the plague.
I would agree apart from my local imax as it's a new screen so it matches my home TV . The older normal screen do nothing compared to my average tv

Hope this comes back for pre-order as watched over the weekend and it's brilliant . Kept my two kids quiet for the duration of the film

Just watched it over the weekend too ... v good animated film. Up there with a few of the best. This film had elements of "Terminator 2 Judgement Day" the relationship between Hero and the robot.

I had some really big issues with this movie; basically I wasn't impressed at all. It had some funny moments but I didn't like parts of the story, easy pass for me.
