I couldnt get BIGSPENDER to work with any combo of steels I was trying, tried having just peter pan and dumbo and wacking the quanities up to 5 plus etc just to get over £100 to see if it would work on those two, but still no. Is the offer invalid now?

I ordered my 'last chance steels' at 3am or something. Most of them are still available though.

So I'm not impressed by the steelbook weekend so far. I guess they prefer to save the price drops until the week after a release.

same problem. I only got it to work when I changed the quantity of a couple of the Disney steels in my cart to two.....so I said screw it and just kept my original pre-orders.

Not sure if that is a mistake, but the weekend was to include a number of different things, as announced initially, such as announcements and 'go live' mentions for certain titles, flash sales, bundles and other things. We understand there is considerable anger about price drops, and Zavvi's team has heard this loud and clear. On the other hand, if you wish to catch a few bargains, I'd buy the ones on sale at a price that works for you. We can't have it both ways-'they're too cheap, oh no'....'they're too expensive, oh no'...rest assured all of our collective feedback is being heard. In the meantime, I hope you guys are able to snap up some deals on titles you've been holding off on.

The link for Reservoir Dogs doesn't work. I searched it on Zavvi's site and it's not there at all. Maybe they pulled the listing due to a mistake.

nice of zavvi to spit in their loyal customer's face by reducing the prices just after they have been released, such as the lone ranger £3 drop less than 2 weeks after going on sale and reservoir dogs listed at £2.99, though think that might be an error as it won't let me order it. release the titles at decent prices and they will sell out

I hope you are joking. You can't cancel orders for in stock items, if they honour that price, you're going to receive them :hilarious:

Lol damn it not 5 of those rotton looking steelbooks hope I can get 2.99 for them then.

Only wanted to see if it would let me do it oh well that'll teach me.

I'm hoping to get a little love from Zavvi (I know, I'm crazy) after ordering Die Hard 4.0 and then The Goonies for £14.99 > £11.99 and then them reducing the base price down to £9.99 a mere hour or so after telling me its dispatched. After being told they won't help me, I kindly pointed out that if they won't refund me £3.99 for The Goonies, then I'm more than happy to keep that £14.99 to myself and cancel my copy of Die Hard 4.0.

Can't believe Zavvi screwed over the early birds with this

pre-order and it sells out, watch the price rise
pre-order and it doesn't slap in the face (and wallet) for the early birds
disappointed also with the likes of point break drops by nearly half price after roughly a month on sale, release titles like this at original sale date for about £12 you won't get too many complaints i think

its like the steelbook wheel of fortune with these ever changing prices. they have gone completely crazy with this moving goalpost pricing policy. all it makes me do is lose confidence in purchasing their titles while they are at full price.

its also unfortunate that almost every steel i have bought from them recently has hit the '£6.99' or '£9.99' space on the steelbook wheel of fortune. great for those who dont have those steelbooks, but it feels like its at my (and countless others who purchased at full price mere weeks ago) expense.

the few i have held off on, arent getting a 'flash sell' .... lol
