I'm surprised Criterion hasn't picked it up yet, though I'm sure it's to do with Warner who released it back in 04 and them probably still having the rights or something.
Criterion Collection DID do BLOW UP....on Laserdisc in 1994. Like other titles that they have released earlier (DEAD PRESIDENTS, PULP FICTION, SE7EN) their rights to the material lapsed.
Interestingly, some of their work contractually goes back with the rights. Disney has a deal with Criterion that once any movie of theirs lapses with Criterion- Disney gets all the work they did. EXAMPLE: Criterion no longer has the rights to release a Criterion ARMAGEDDON (Touchstone), so all the work they did on their edition is now Disney's edition. So when you buy Disney's Blu ray of ARMAGEDDON, it IS the Criterion version.
