Purchased and watched The Book of Eli and Black Dinamite on the weekend. Black Dinamite had a lot of potential but just fell short somehow IMO. I was very happy with Eli. Wasn't anything like what I was expecting but it was great.

Oh ya also picked up From Paris with Love. Bad... Just bad.

Saw The Wolfman last night... in summary, the blu-ray picture quality sucks. I don't care if it was intentional but shadows were crushed in nearly all the dimlit scenes and indoor dark spaces.. just f*ckin' ruined it for me.

The audio, however, was nice. Dialogue was clearer than most movies these days and the surrounding soundscape was nice and enveloping.

I will hand it to the movie that it does take advantage of getting you to jump frequently and it is characteristically more intense than the classic style of horror scares we've seen over the last decade a la wes craven (slowly building intense music and then a loud bang with some sort of visual spook). This film takes that up a notch which was nice to see as being a fan of the original wolfman was pretty much expecting the same format.

Acting by Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro seemed to be just scratching the surface of potential. I honestly think the script held them back.

That's all.

I agree, they both are great actors but the script was seriously lacking. Plus, they looked like EWOKS!

Picked up: The Hurt Locker

Got all 3 of em for 20 bucks.

Watched No Country for the first time, It's a pretty solid movie. Old Dogs was ok I guess. Well worth what I paid for it. Just need to watch The Hurt Locker now. Prolly will watch that and The Crazies next.

sweeeeeeeeet.

Eh, The girlfriend wanted to see it. The Way I see it, I paid 10 for Hurt Locker, 10 for No Country and got Old Dogs free.

Yeah the 3 for 20 was a great deal. Where did u get this at?

Have a friend who's mom designs cover art for sony. She gets some free hook ups so she gives him an ungodly amount of Blu's and games. Like for example he has 5 or 6 copies of angels and demons. He turns around and gives us the ones he doesn't want and sells some to us for cheap.

This weekend watched:

Brooklyn's Finest (good cop drama)
Universal Soldier Regeneration (better than the previous crappy sequels)

Next on my blockbuster queue is Brothers......
