Book of Eli, you're cool in my book Groo!

I watched "The Man from Nowhere" started off a bit slow for me, but holy bajeez its vicious at the end.

I bought The Dragon Tattoo trilogy (that nice set with the lenticular front) AND the X-men trilogy for $34!!! for both, I think thats a score! :) Also bought Spy Game @ BB for 7.99 ... Baraka, Get Low , Red Hill and some others...

Just Watched:

The Fall (Digibook, Germany)

Fantastic film, Really enjoyed it. Photography and locations absolutely stunning, really showed BD at its very best. Story very tongue in cheek and with funny moments. 10/10:drool:

Pmartin-I have that Digi and still need to watch it. But Tarsem Singh's visuals are amazing. Though not a great movie, check out "The Cell" for more of his visual style. And I can't wait for his version of "Snow White" and "Immortals"!!!:scat:

Thanks for the advice about Singh's other films Db, I'll have to try them!

At the other end of the cinemagraphic scale, I watched "The Green Hornet" 3D last night. I really struggled to finish seeing it - kept checking the running time on the player. I really found this to be one huge pile of dross. Even the 3D "effects were 3rd rate (no pun intended). I wondered, was this one of those films that has been converted to 3D as an afterthought? The "storyline" was, in my opinion, pathetic and illogical throughout. I must admit I haven't read any reviews of this film, so it's possible that everyone else thinks it's fantastic! I'd love to know anyone else's opinion...

I too found it hard to finish the movie. I'm a fan of most Seth Rogen films but I feel he should stick to the type of movies he is best at. Certainly not superhero comedy.

Finish watching the award winning - Werner Herzog Film Grizzly Man.

This documentaries basically is the footage taken by Timothy Treadwell about his fascinate with Grizzly Bear & his own life.

After finish watching, I can only said Timothy is facing a huge mentality problem! Did he really love bear? Did he really protect those bear life? Did what he did actually correct?

He absolutely don't understand bear, and absolute due to his fascination and madness, he is completely bothering those grizzly bear peach-full life.

The most sadly is another victim - Amie Huguenard, the person that loving him so much until don't care of her life trying the best to save him when he being beat by those bear. Even though Timothy has been bite by the bear, he still chase Amy "Go away... leave me... run..." when Amy trying to save him!

From his earlier footage, he just a ordinary normal guy before he get a bad drug addict, then he decide and move to stay with those bear as he believe he need to do something to get away those drugs, and after such a long 13 years with Grizzly Bear at Alaska, he believe and want to be a part of them, he believe he is a bear.

Did his decision by choosing stay together with those bear really solving the drugs addict issue? or it just a wrong step beginning...

He just another too lonely person that is completely insane doing something beyond ordinary human did... such a sad tragedy.............

You just need to see it to believe it! The video footage by him can be said 90% he is out of his mind, talking by himself insanely and plenty of nonsense speech and anger...

It's Seth Rogen trying to be a badass that he isn't. The dialog was bad, he had too many lines and as usual yelled through the whole movie. The story was weak too. I didn't find it as entertaining as I would of wished. Some may find it entertaining others won't but that's just a difference in opinion.

The film was converted to 3D after it was finished being shot. The conversion is not great but it certainly is not the worst out there. It does beat other atrocities like Clash of the Titans and Avatar the last airbender. However, not all conversions are bad though, just look at Alice in Wonderland 3D, that was an excellent conversion at least it looked great on BD 3D.
