I just watched A Prophet yesterday. It was pretty good, they deem it like "The Godfather" but it wasnt ...
I also watched the DVD of Jeremiah Johnson ... I noticed in 2 years it will be 40 years old. I think it would be great for a blu-ray digibook and its WB :)

come to think of it, I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid a few weeks ago, starring ...... Redford. :p

Have you seen 3 Days of the Condor with Redford? It's another oldie but goodie (1975) ...and its a Studio Canal Mediabook!

Just got: Avatar (Rental Edition) and When in Rome from Blockbuster as part of their sell...

Then I bought Never Say Never. :emb: :)

I can't wait until Avatar extended edition drops way down in price. I didn't love the movie, but I like the extended version a lot better.

28 days later i thought i was watching a dvd the quality is very bad.

Yeah, it is very bad... but it was meant to be that way. It was shot on DV cameras (which back then were pretty bad... XL1's I believe). And on top of that, they made it look even worse then it had to be, to make it look 'gritty'. But its a pretty horrible look, regardless of intent. 16mm is gritty enough, IMO. ;)

If I remember right... the last scene was shot on actual film, so that should look better.

** Thanks a lot king5six1 nice trade, items arrived safety and great condition. :)

Have just bought 'The Prisoner' the classic 1967 UK TV series starring Patrick McGoohan. The series was filmed mainly in Portmerion, a tiny village in North Wales and which we re-visited when on holiday this Summer.
There were only 17 1-hour episodes filmed, before Patrick McGoohan went off to Hollywood. This set of all the episodes plus extras is on 6 discs & was released in Sept 2009, & was remastered to HD from the original 35mm film.

I finished "The Lives of Others", beautiful film about the State Police in East Germany in 80's, and effect of the surveillance, threats and imprisonment, on its citizens. Stellar PQ and score.
