Watched The Secret in Their Eyes and damn I have no doubts why this foreign film beat A Prophet (Un Prophete) for the Oscar. It's phenomenal! Excellent movie. This is the best foreign film I've seen this year. :scat:

Also, I watched Babies tonight and well I am not a fan of them myself. I mean I don't want kids for another decade so yeah just watching and listening to the annoying crying and such for an hour and a half wasn't particularly enjoyable. However, my girl liked the movie. It follows the first few months of 4 babies from 4 different parts of the world. There is no dialog just mellow music and baby footage....if that's your cup of tea by all means enjoy!

I LOVED that movie (Babies)! You could let me have it... :p

As for me I just got:

Bluray Sampler - Eagle Vision (99 cent)
Chaos
Hellboy: Sword of the Storms & Blood and Irons
Pineapple Express
Planet Hulk
The Soloist
Supernatural Season 5

Horhay, really? Awwww, sorry you felt that way, I didn't get that at all-I loved it.

I started watching "Secret in Their Eyes" via Netflix rental, but didn't have a chance to finish it. I plan to restart it from the beginning...

I watched Three Kings and I think it has just made the top movie on the list of worst transfers on Blu. If you seen the movie, there are sections where Mark Whalberg, Clooney and Ice Cube are out on the desert in the jeep, well most of those scenes look atrocious. The colors are overdone, there's halos around the guys heads, you can see the edge enhancement. That only covers part of the movie, the other scenes look very nice. Could have been the style of the director, but it really looks bad....

Really??? That sux!! Although I probably wouldn't even notice! :hilarious:

Oh no, this isn't just a quick observation...it's blatantly obvious! Even my gf asked why the image looked ugly. I can't post a screenshot until release date unfortunately (tomorrow). Again, it could be a director style, but personally it just looked fugly...

Wreck is going to have fun with this one! :hilarious:

Horhay-I just finished watching "Secret In Their Eyes". What a beautiful film, and masterful use of very focused shots to convey a world of emotion in the eyes. The film was amazing, especially in its native language (like many, I prefer to watch international cinema this way). I could not believe the end. The score and flashbacks/his thoughts were weaved together to create a tense but well paced tempo-I loved it-definitely will recommend to others. Wow-100% deserved to win its award.

Agreed! I am not used to the Argentinian Spanish dialect so I was laughing at parts of the movie because well I just found it hilarious, especially when they are cussing at each other.

The movie was a hell of a treat and I certainly didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Esposito and Irene were simply perfect for the roles and the entire cast really turned in superb performances really. To pick one that stood above the rest is really difficult. The layered structured of the film worked wonderfully. It was just all around an excellent film.

well,
i just watched Galaxy of Terror, which is Roger Cormans version of Alien lol.
now, i saw this on VHS many, many years ago, let me say this, the Blu Ray transfer looked incredible, but movie was definetly a drive in type of flick lol
all in all it was entertaining :)
