Man of Steel 2 [CANCELED]

Im so frustrated by this news.
I understand what they are doing, Starting from scratch. But if you cancel this James... you can't keep Suicide Squad or Peacemaker either. They all go.
Imagine being Cavil right now. You get the call that you're coming back as SUPERMAN but that means you have to give up Witcher. So he does. Only a couple months later they say JUST KIDDING. And now you've lost both. Brutal.
Also... if they are rebooting the DC universe, why should anyone go watch the 4 movies they have coming out next year? I have a feeling they arent going to do nearly as well at the box office now.
