I saw an internal FS flyer that listed "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" as a possible Steelbook. No release date was given.

apsmith21 - release date is likely the same as amaray - December 13, 2011.

Since when FS release a steelbook without annoucing it? The point of markteting steelbook is to sell something unique, so not spreading the word seems like a non-sense...

Too bad, FS version would have rocked all others, I'm sure!

Drum, Steelbooks have hit shelves without an announcement until the very last minute (like Hannah), but it seems there isn't one for this one. Hopefully someone posts 1st hand confirmation if it's a bust.
