Just dread to see the steel after being dispatched from Germany to Uk in a white box lol

No, they should be dispatched from the same place as we sometimes have to pay import taxes so you should be fine. ^^

Yeah right zavvi, you cancelled loads of bulk orders, so miraculously we have this back up for pre-order, and it's still sticking around, seemingly longer than the first time.

So why haven't all those who had their bulk orders cancelled, just re-ordered them ? It would surely have been sold out in a few hours max ? Doesn't make sense.

I'd guess you actually ordered more in, seeing it sell out so fast (nicking from Filmarenas allocation ?),

Yeah I really like this too. I wish they would stop making the lenti magnet though.
I think it will look better without it because I'm one of those people who don't open mine up.

Every retailer is cynical in a way. Asian retailers do their best to present a good picture at least to the western world as that's how it has been since WW2. Remember there are still complaints from local people in Asia that their retailers are not doing enough to cater to the local market. Blaming Zavvi for each and everything simply doesn't help. You should be happy that there is a retailer who can offer a decent selection of Steels at a decent price that ships globally at a fraction of cost which we seldom see with retailers in North Americas and Europe.

Yeah I bet they'll bring the best CW steel, at least I hope so. They nailed TWS and TFA is great too so I think we can trust in them. ^^

With the Blufans release I wasn't a fan of the artwork (far too photoshoppy) however fair play to Blufans they polished that turd right up so much so it's actually a stunning Steelbook

As I've said before I hope the eventual Kimchi Civil War release will be the best (feel the matte finish may let this one down)

I agree that Blufans did the best they could with that steel but it's just way too busy for my taste. :/ Imo more is less so even when the finish of that steel is great, it's still not the best art. I do have to wonder though ... there's just not a lot of art I like for this movie, apart from Fergusons 3 piece set so it's gonna be hard for Kimchi to find one that's right up my alley.

These two as likely to be matte as they are to be gloss.

ZERO finish more than likely - possibly with selective spot gloss on the back artwork (unlikely on the front artwork . . . imo).

Zero finish designed to be somewhere between full gloss and matte - a finish that's designed to accentuate the contrasts and bring out the colours in the artwork and which has been described as the best and the worst of both worlds . . . in equal measure (lol).
The difference is quite obvious between matte and zero although obviously not to the same extent as between matte and full gloss.

As for full gloss on lenticular steelbooks: don't believe it's been done here in the UK (yet) but it's been done in other territories with fine scratches being an issue (reportedly) - presumably a full gloss finish is more prone to fine scratches than a zero finish (?).

The other issues of glare in the wrong display lighting conditions and fingerprints on full gloss steelbooks are hardly worth mentioning.

A quick comparison of two steelbooks with the same artwork but treated differently - one matte and the other zero:-
