Confusing specs, what!? . . . especially after reading this message from Zavvi:-
"Check out this brand new Captain America 3: Civil War 3D (Includes 2D Version) - Zavvi Exclusive Lenticular Edition with EMBOSSED FRONT and DEBOSSED BACK !"
Regarding EMBOSSED BACK art -
I can only see that working without a frame if the image is central such as here . . . although usually with embossing on both sides there's a framing border on both sides too. With this CIVIL WAR steelbook art I can't see which parts would be raised on the back / which parts lowered . . . what with the image covering almost the whole back surface area right to the edge of the steelbook on all four sides:-

Regarding DE-BOSSED BACK art -
I can see that working even less well . . . again, with the back art almost covering the whole back surface area right to the edge as there's no specific element of said artwork that can be lowered below the rest.
Just can't see it.
Regarding EMBOSSED FRONT art -
Now that's a different kettle of fish and a brilliant move. Disney taking a leaf out of Sony's book
The raised title . . . and even the raised artwork . . . is not a problem in the slightest for a lenticular steelbook even though it will cause the lenticular to sit proud in its frame.
The best examples of UK embossed lenticular steelbooks (imo) are these 3 SPIDER-MAN beauties from HMV:-
( . . . and with Spider-Man spot glossed there's no excuse for Disney not to request spot glossing of Cap A.).
