Surely (hopefully), it will get a similar treatment to BB's recent Thor: DW release.

The U.S. needs to get back in the game of providing some nice steels, dammit!

At this point Best Buy simply lists DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D. Those are all standard releases that they would already have. If there was a specially packaged one announced it would have a separate SKU# even if it wasn't specifying the packaging yet. They may still sell one, but odds are that none of these that are listed are a Steelbook.

I agree (because zavvi is ltd to 6000 ) usa and canada probably have the rest of print run.... disney probably still kickin them selves by making different ones for thor 2 (anything to save them even more money)... this is just a thought don't attack me for thinking (i hope they do have different ones)

Taking into account BB and FS had the same design as all the other releases, I can see this being the same.

I predict a title on the spine and the captains shield being embossed.

Can't see how they could add a title on the artwork, without making it look overcrowded.

I would be happy with that - and an awesome J card

I predict at least a 50,000 print run on this or more. In line with The Dark Knight Rises.

Not going to happen. I predict a similar print run as Thor. It's Disney remember, they're limit the total # of steels and have an abundance of regular blu-ray and DVD options.

I may have just learned this lesson. As a newbie, I cancelled my Zavii order when I saw the Best Buy Group Buy. And now I don't see this Bewt Buy Group Buy listed as of today. Awwhh.....the joy of learning something new.

I would hold off on cancelling any other orders until this is confirmed. This is definitely not a sure thing. It's happened before. Plus, you lose nothing by holding on to the order a bit longer.

I was under the impression that this "phantom" is just pure speculation at this point. That right? And yeah 90% of BB reps don't know diddly twat. Hell they don't even know what a Steelbook is. Try calling and ask one just for fun.

As a newbie to HDN and steel books, I just called Best Buy, only for the second time and now the last , and you were right, the rep said "say what!". I just said thank you for your time and goodbye. I am indeed learning quickly with assistance from HDN members.

I will say I had my buddy who works for BB checked out the three skus listed originally (5885123, 5886104, 5886122)

He told me they aren't in the system yet, even though they are listed on bestbuy.com

Now they have removed the listings And the pics. What craziness! Why waste the manpower putting things up and taking them down. Used company once before, but loosing future orders. Ordering out of the country is much easier.

Gonna keep my Zavvi order just in case. Last time I barely got a Thor 2 Steelbook. Store had 20, 17 were ordered online. I will try to reserve it on release day as others did, but still plan to try to pick one up.
