Hey!

1. "Officially" we do not know the date. One of those dates sounds reasonable and it isn't December
2. It can vary based on the studio and the title quite a bit. As a rule the minimum amount of time is 3 months normally.

But it won't be July and it won't be December

Damn I was hoping for early July so i could watch Phase 1 & 2 in order before Guardians of the Galaxy. Oh well at least its on its way, just need to know if it'll follow Thor: TDW with having Title on front and spine.

My best guest would be end of Summer (August-September).

Why? When you look at the Captain America: The Winter Soldier SteelBook Releases Worldwide List, few countrys that have official release date are on that period.

Also, by experience, after a movie is out in theaters, you can calculate 4-6 months to get out in DVD/BD.


Now for official news... always depend on the company AND/OR distributor... but don't worry, as soon as we know, you'll be first to know since we NEVER miss one scoop

The Avengers and Iron Man 3 opened in theaters the first week of may and were released on Blu-Ray August to September range, so my guess is this gets released end of July overseas, end of August stateside.

Yeah, I was one of them! It was only my 8th steelbook. I had ordered it way ahead of time never thinking that we would get a SB in the US. So I was happy to purchase one at BB and then a week later my zavvi came.
So I have an extra Thor 2 now. Signed up for HDN threads since!
