I use Yahoo and can't remember having such issues, yet, once again last year (2024) had some issues but of another kind, that I could not reach/load any webpages here on HDN, no matter the machine (mobile, desktop, etc.) or browser used. Back then, Andy told me were some issues with the site and some hackers (if I recall correctly), but then all got fixed. Are you using an outlook/msn/hotmail email address by any chance? There was an issue with them in the past (not sure if it was ever resolved) where HDN emails were falsely reported as spam and therefore got blocked, so it was recommended people switch to using a different email provider... I've since started using Gmail and had no issues.
Going through all the threads where I might had participated and/or subscribed to, because I did not received ANY notification ANYMORE for some time now

First off, thanks for the info, appreciated! The reason we do this is because e-mail servers have something called a "bounce rule". We have to stop sending e-mails to them if this rule gets triggered or they will put us on a block list. Since this feature on the forum is now doing it automatically, you'll get something like this here in that case.

Sure thing, I understand and agree this kind of rule should exist.
Yet, WHY or HOW that I (my e-mail address / account) has been triggered is the question now, because for sure I didn’t do any changes on the e-mail or HDN account, and ended up like stated above.
Now, after re-doing all the subscriptions again, it seems that I am able to receive (and I do receive) messages when there are new posts in the subscribed threads.
I would like to know what was the cause, especially if that was something that I could prevent or do something about it before HDN gets the “bounces” that trigger the NO-NEW-MAIL rule.
Thanks Andy for all this. From what we've seen before, it's something that another person with a yahoo e-mail reports as spam. So instead of unsubscribing, they report the e-mail as a spam and the e-mail servers from there put their own rules in play to limit the receipt of e-mails.
Once you get on this list, the forum software itself then requires you to opt-in to any e-mails you'd like to resume receiving.
I understand this point of view too.... yet, I believe there's always „a human” (in error or not) that leads to all the bad things (as also to the best things too). You shouldn't assume it's something being done intentionally, email can be very archaic and the way some black/grey lists work is idiotic.
Thank you Andy!Group buy posted
