The DC is superior to the Theatrical version but the BD is not, unfortunately. This really needs a proper restoration instead of a repackaging.

I wouldn't mind doing a disc swap later with a superior remaster. I'm just happy it got the steelbook treatment at all.
A very deserving classic film....and DC is a million times better since it doesn't SPOIL the ending in the opening!!

I just swapped discs like I almost always do.. Beautiful looking steelbook I've been wanting produced for a long time
But for the cast on the front a perfect release w/ stunning artwork throughout and a good finish . . . text under the disc is a most welcome departure from the norm as is the removal of those logos (and worse) as seen on past Metropolitan steelbooks . . .

I received my copy today, but the cover is scratched in a couple of places. Can someone let me know what the Amazon.fr policy is for requesting a replacement or refund? Will I have to send the steelbook back from the US at my own cost? PM is fine--no need to clutter the forum. Thanks much!

Oh, bummer! Me neither... knew it was probably a risk, but I couldn't really afford it until after Christmas. Not surprising it's sold out, but yeah... hopefully another retailer/country picks it up!
Metropolitan releases are usually WEA and very rarely if at all get a release outside of France.
