It's a bit cheaper to buy from Italy at this point, even with shipping, if the US Amazon price of $55 isn't lowered to at least $45.

You are absolutely right. I honestly didn't think that the prices would stay like this, but I was wrong. I don't think it's sustainable either. Best Buy getting out of the game really changed things it seems.
Best Buy actually started the price hikes. They were not only raising Steel prices, they were raising Amray releases and selling for about 5 bucks over MSRP.

I hate missing out on this release, but at these prices, I just can't justify it. I really wish they still sold them in Asia, because I'd rather just buy premiums with disks and call it a day.

Nasty Amazon tried charging for a couple of these four times - I fell asleep and forgot to add cash to my debit card. So I ran out just in time, they tried taking full $110 for two - screw that. Canceled the preorder, so at least two will be returned to stock some time...
Reordered from Italy, worked out $38 each, $17 cheaper.

This movie was an absolute riot last night watching on my PS5. The scene that jumped the shark for me was the Furiosa reference! I fell out of my seat laughing and crying:rofl:

Why is selling below cost good for collecting? If I ever need to sell anything and I’m going to get less than what I paid, why should I even support physical releases?

In a general sense you're correct it's bad for the resale value to drop below retail but Disney's pricing in the US was a cash grab especially with the two covers (Disney has been doing that for years) and people who aren't collecting snapping up limited stock to prevent others from getting it so they can resell for a fat margin is bad for the hobby.

If we're going through roller coasters of speculation and price crashes that's an unhealthy market and unsustainable, stable pricing and availability should be the goal.

I agree about Disney’s prices being ridiculous. Thats bad for the hobby just as much as people selling their items at a loss. People will stop seeing value in physical media and bye bye! To a degree that has already happened. And I’m not a reseller but at some time in everyone’s life, there may be a time to sell. If I can’t get what I put into it, I’m done buying physical releases
