Every month (I think) the Discogs blog posts a list of the 30 most expensive items sold last month. I think it's pretty interesting reading. This list is for August 2014.
I will update this thread every month when a new list is available.

A couple of quick observations:

At #9, I used to own that Burzum record back in the days. I think I sold it for $20!
At #23 Inception soundtrack by Hans Zimmer did go for $716! Anybody on here got it?

Yep, I'm the proud owner of this one, its a beauty to both look at and to listen to, mind you I only paid $20 for mine and not the staggering $716 quoted on discogs.

I didn't until about 6 months ago when another collector/buyer on twitter brought it to my attention, at that time the price of them were around $400 so it's value is rising rapidly.

I'll not be letting mine go, but it's great to know that it's worth so much, who knows in another 6 months time we might see this one hit the $1000 mark.
