Do You Normally Stick To Certain Regions Or Countries When Buying Your Steelbooks?

Up until now I have stuck to US, Canada and UK for all my steelbooks. But in the last week I have broken down and bought 2 German steelbooks (Casino Royale because I want to get the 9 US steels have 2 already and then see about expanding to all Bond movies, and Psycho because I am huge Hitchcock fan I own 48 of his 52 movies and have seen 49 of his films plus I have always wanted a vertical steelbook and while the UK has a version of it this will be my first vertical).

I think I am becoming too addicted now I am buying steels from other than the 4 countries I said I would buy them from (Australia being the 4th just never bought one from there yet but trying to stick with the English speaking countries).

So do you buy from everywhere or just limit yourself to regions or languages? I won't buy a movie that doesn't have the English title on the cover that's for sure (stuff like Planet of the Apes that I do want to get will be a UK version).

I stick to region A compatible, all English text, and no rating logos on the Steel.

And I make exceptions from time to time for my favorite movies.

Same here, that's a big turn off for me. Even if it's barely noticeable I'm not interested.

Right now, I only have Steels from the USA and CA.

I only have a problem with foreign language text on the steel if it doesn't fit the country of origin for the movie.

For instance, if a movie is made in the USA/CA/UK, the title should be in English. If the movie is from Japan, then it would be an added bonus (to me) if the title is in it's original Japanese, and with no english text anywhere... thinking of a cool Godzilla steel with Japanese text (does one exist?!).

I have Steelbooks from all over the globe. I try to get only Steelbooks with English text. Inside art is not an issue as I can simply create my own. I am, however consciously making the effort to gut down on German Steelbooks if they have printed text as it becomes a Royal pain in the arse to replace them later. Moving back to Europe in a short while so will be hitting Play.com with a vengeance, plus have 15 Steelbooks incoming from Canada when Hunger Games is released. So it looks like UK and Canada will be my countries of choice.

As I currently spend more time in the US than the UK; as I only bought into blu ray in November 2011; as I only have a Region A player...I'd only bought some US and Canadian steelbooks.

I've recently bought a few play.com releases (I'm back in the UK for a couple of months). I like the look of the Japanese Blade steelbook (but as I have the regular US blu ray release I suppose I could buy the Canadian if it's cheaper). The Aussie Apollo 13 looks nice. I dislike steelbooks with visible rating logos that can't be removed, and those with 'non-English' language text on them. Having bought into blu so late I'm not yet into an addiction stage, but I think the first signs are there.

I really don't have a preference, but a non-english title is a big turn-off, unless it's in an asian script. In which case it makes me want it sooooo much more.

I now have 3 german steels Casino Royale, 21 and Psycho and want to get a Red State too.

Not really, but I avoid the German steels like the plague because of all of their "flaws" (upside-down spines, recycled art, huge rating logo sometimes not removable, printed backs, German titles, etc.). And I try to avoid the Japanese steelbooks because of the insane prices. That's about it.

Woohoo, me and Biskie are in perfect agreement! So true, so true. maybe it was best to hear it from someone else, because I may be a little "biased". Anyways, I'm a Future Shop guy, besides that, I stick with the ebay region.
