Gonna have to customs for this and my preordered demons uhd. Golden age of amazon uk is definately behind me (and some others) f....g brexit :grumpy:
Up until Brexit Amazon charges your local VAT, which becomes obsolete then. As customs are identical to VAT there should be no great difference at all... (besides of possible import taxes)

After January 1st Amazon will still be applying your EU country Vat rate at checkout

Third party sellers it will be Vat or Import Fee deposit you will see listed

The issue at the moment is it's not known if a trade deal is going to be agreed

The extra expenses will be import duty on goods over €150 as in you will have Vat and Import Duty to be paid

Lot of UK retailers waiting to see if a trade deal can be agreed

Customers based in EU and ordered goods from a UK retailer and UK customers ordered from a EU retailer.
Goods already ordered and paid for before 11pm on December 31st the new rules do not apply even if dispatch and delivery is after January 1st

If payment is received by the retailer on January 1st or later then the new rules will apply

Thanks @paulboland and @astycorax for the detailed explanation. Sorry but i dont really get it ...Are the prices on amazon com vat free ? Cause 21% are added on top when ordering to Belgium (+ fixed admin import costs) I am expecting the same for UK after Brexit, seems logic to me. And what about ebay goods ? When item is marked real value also have to pay extra.

Prices on amazon UK websites include UK 20% Vat rate.
Prices on other Amazon EU websites include Vate rate for that country.

EU countries have various different Vat rates
The price at checkout can change to be lower or higher depending on your country Vat rate as in delivery address.
This is how Amazon EU and Amazon UK website work and has done for years.

Example I'm based in Republic of Ireland the vat rate is 23% (Reduced vate rate 21% at the moment until March 2021)
At checkout for example on Amazon UK they remove the UK vat rate from price and apply Rep of Ireland Vat rate instead)

In regards to eBay from July 1st 2021 all on-line market place websites and retailers websites based outside EU and shipping to a EU address has to apply Vat at checkout

Yes, the prices on Amazon.com are VAT free, when ordering from the EU!

Prices from other Amazon.EU sites include your local VAT when ordering from within the EU, that’s why the price is slightly different on the product page opposed at the check out.
For Americans the VAT gets subtracted at check out.

Listed prices on Amazon USA yes don't include Vat but
Customers based in EU and UK using Amazon USA

Amazon USA apply vat at checkout using Import fee deposit on top of listed price

Import Fee deposit is based on the Vat rate of delivery address

In regards to UK from January 1st the £15 threshold to avoid vat is gone.
Vat will apply no matter what the cost of goods are on imports into UK

EU the threshold of €22 to avoid paying vat is gone from July 1st 2021 (Was originally to be from January 1st but due to covid-19 was delayed to July) and vat will be applied at checkout with a online retailer or marketplace based outside EU and shipping to a address in EU
