If you haven’t heard yet, martial arts legend Donnie Yen is coming back for “IP Man 4”!
The martial arts legend made this announcement six months ago, but if you’re a hardcore fan and missed it for some reason, then we’re here to remind you.
First, we all tried to deal with closure when Yen announced that “IP Man 3” could be his last gongfu movie. The franchise that kicked off in 2008 was coming to its end seven years later, and all we can do was hope.
Now that hope was worth it. On September 30, 2016, Yen himself confirmed through Facebook:
“I want to share this very excit(ing) news with you all, my good friend Wilson Yip, who had directed all of my last three Ipman series, tonight, we have decided to reunite and continue to make our next project together, Ipman4! Yes I-P-M-A-N part 4!”
The Hong Kong star did not reveal other details, so we’re yet to learn a release date. We can wait in peace!
And for the uninitiated, Yen also appeared in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”. He’ll also star in the upcoming “Sleeping Dogs” movie based on Square Enix’s top-selling video game.

A fight scene between Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan will reportedly be the highlight of “Ip Man 4,” the latest installment in the kung fu series expected to hit theaters later this year.
