NEW 1080p presentation on Blu-ray from a new 2K restoration from the original film elements :naughty:

Never seen this, but very curious. What other HK movie from that era does it compare to best in terms of style and quality?

Very hard question, but I would recommend :

  • The Prodigal Son
  • A Chinese Ghost Story
  • Bang-Rajan
  • Iron Monkey
  • Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain
  • Mr. Vampire
  • Musa & Princess of the Desert
  • New Dragon Gate Inn
  • The Swordman
  • Master of the Flying Guillotine

IMO those are worth to check out ... plus many others !

Thanks. Wow, that seems like quite a wide range tonally: Haven't ssen all of these, but Master of the Flying Guillotine and Iron Monkey seem like worlds apart for me. Still, with that and the trailer I think I get the idea
