Restoration of the old classic movie Le crocodile de la mort in a glossy SteelBook® Edition.

In the deep South of the United States, a young prostitute finds refuge at the Starlight Hotel, a shabby old building on the edge of the marshes.

Its owner, Judd, is a simple-minded eccentric whose pet is a crocodile from Africa. The young woman doesn’t know that Judd is in fact a dangerous psychopath who murders all the hotel guests to feed his crocodile…

Shot two years after the classic Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Le Crocodile de la mort (Eaten Alive) reunites director Tobe Hooper and the freaks of rural America.

All the ingredients for a perfect gore horror film are in place: a sticky atmosphere, a scary soundtrack and a scary cast that includes Robert Englund (before he became Freddy Krueger) and William Finley (Phantom of the Paradise), among others. A pure moment of terror and madness to be rediscovered in a new HD restoration!

The movie from Tobe Hooper is a terror/invasion movie and plays in a hotel with a crocodile pit under the bar. The story is inspired by the story of Joe Ball - a serial killer, that lived after the time of prohibition and feeded his crocodiles with the slayed bodies.
The crocodile story is rather sideplot than main story. X rated brought it out as Mediabooks and one cover variant shows it good. Tarantino seems to be a fan of the movie and used the Buck-F**k saying for his Kill-Bill movie.
