The all new “true crime” case in Fargo’s latest chapter takes you back to 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota. “Lou Solverson” (Patrick Wilson), a young State Police Officer recently back from Vietnam, investigates a case involving a local crime gang, a major mob syndicate and a small town beautician “Peggy Blumquist” (Kirsten Dunst) along with her husband “Ed” (Jesse Plemons), the local butcher’s assistant. Helping Lou piece things together is his father-in-law, “Sheriff Hank Larsson” (Ted Danson). The investigation will lead them to a colorful cast of characters that includes “Karl Weathers” (Nick Offerman), the town lawyer of Luverne, Minnesota. A Korean War vet, Karl is a flowery drunk blessed with the gift of gab and the eloquence of a true con artist. Three-time Emmy® winner Brad Garrett will play “Joe Bulo,” the front man for the northern expansion of a Kansas City crime syndicate. The new face of corporate crime, Joe’s bringing a Walmart mentality to small town America. His number two is “Mike Milligan” (Bokeem Woodbine). Part enforcer, part detective, Mike is always smiling – but the joke is usually on you. Bulo and his crew have their sights set on the Gerhardt crime family in Fargo, currently led by matriarch “Floyd Gerhardt” (Jean Smart). With her husband at death’s door, Floyd takes over the family business, frustrating her eldest son, “Dodd Gerhardt” (Jeffrey Donovan). An impatient hothead with a cruel streak to match his ambitions, Dodd can’t wait for both his parents to die so he can take over and expand their business from kingdom to empire. “Bear Gerhardt” (Angus Sampson) is the middle son, an intimidatingly large man who, although inarticulate, is the most decent of his clan. “Rye Gerhardt” (Kieran Culkin), the youngest of the Gerhardt clan, views himself as a big shot, but in reality he’s just a small dog with a loud bark.

Emmy Award winning Executive Producers Noah Hawley (showrunner/writer), Joel & Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron all return for the second installment. Fargo is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio.

Nobody watching this season???
I'm still waiting for it to air on TV over here in the UK as I want my views to actually count towards the shows statistics... however, the fact Channel 4 haven't even given a date yet is making me consider just watching it elsewhere, because I'm dying to see it!

Have you seen any of it mate? If so, what are your thoughts? :)

I was hoping it would be on Channel 4 this year too. But couldn't resist.

Love it so far, Perfectly cast again this season. Was skeptical about Ewan McGregor playing two characters but he has been terrific. David Thewlis's character is chilling! Great to see him a bigger role.

You should definitely check it out.

They keep advertising it as "coming soon", but don't say how soon! :sour:

Think I probably will just end up watching it elsewhere and then possibly rewatch it on Channel 4 whenever they eventually decide to start showing it... I mean, the show is usually good enough to rewatch anyway. :D

David Thewlis is always great! But, yeah... he very rarely gets the big roles, which is a shame. Can't wait to see him in action in this though! Ewan's characters are the ones I've been most looking forward to seeing... and Mary Elizabeth Winstead's, because, y'know.

I'm watching it. HBO Nordic have the rights to it here in Norway.

Agree with @Snollygoster , I love it! They've got all the cast spot on this season as well. Yup, David Thewlis is absolutely brilliant as is Mc.Gregor.

Another favorite is Michael Stuhlbarg as Emmit Stussy's (Mc.Gregor) lawyer/sidekick Sy Feltz. Get on it @Noodles , I know you'll love it.

Ok, you guys have convinced me... I can't wait around any longer! Will probably start watching it tomorrow. ;)

Just heard the news that Season 3 is to premiere on Channel 4 on Wednesday May 31st at 10pm over here in the UK, which is another TWO weeks away... don't think I can wait that long, but then again I still haven't got around to actually streaming it yet anyway.

The third season was great but probably the weakest of the three. I still enjoyed it and thought McGregor was on point throughout and most of the cast did well enough. I guess I liked the first two seasons so much that my expectations might of been too high this time around. Would like to see a Season 4 but let's push it to 2019 and come back with a bang :)
