Been looking at this on HD MOVIE SOURCE for a while now along with the Arrival one. Both really nice. Hope they get a UK version. You guys in USA are lucky to be able to pick these up in a supermarket. You can easily look through them to pick up a mint one. Hope they release Collateral in a steelbook too; but probably only Best Buy. Listed as December release. Sweet movie.

It would be cool if they were, but Best Buy isn't a supermarket. They sell electronics, movies, music, video games, computers, media accessories, etc.

Ive always viewed Best Buy as a supermarket and supermarkets in the U.K. sell the same stuff You just mentioned but then I suppose we both have different names for things. like trousers and pants!

@Retro Parrot years ago you could pick up steels in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco. They all stopped it around the same time even though you can still pick up dvd, blu rays, CDs and vinyl from them all. But you know you can get most WWA from HMV (as well as their exclusives) so technically you can still browse through a lot of them for mint copies etc (I know this info is useless at the mo with lockdown and of course you might not be close to a store but just saying)

Im assuming this will get a U.K. release in a few months. we always behind the US by a bit with these types of releases. higher chance of matte though lol

Nice clean front art. Back could be better but still the best steel I’ve seen for the film. Finally one worth picking up

Very rarely does my local hmv have any steelbooks left to pick up. Last one I saw in 4K was a titans ready player one with massive crush around packet so Zavvi best outlet for me. I mentioned Best Buy availability because I’ve seen countless photos of big stands full of steelbooks to choose over with Best Buy stickers all over them. It’s a painful collecting experience knowing the collectables themselves are so delicate and easy to damage. I keep trying to avoid buying too many and stick with the standard releases with slip covers but these things are too tempting. I have the standard 4K gump but this is really nice. Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Yes. Haha.
Ps. The guy on the unboxing has an incredible talent for speaking fast like the terms and conditions part of a tv advert.

back when I worked in HMV we used to get hundreds of steelbooks in for each release but this was a while ago and quite a big/ busy store but yeah it’s less and less nowadays

Only problem with Best Buy and those big stands is about 70% of their steels are always damaged, like badly in some cases with dents and paint chips. also probably why they have such good price drops. but yeah it can be annoying for collectors outside the US to see them in such big numbers when we can only really order online here

In the US, supermarkets usually refer to grocery stores. English in the US, UK, Australia, etc. is a bit different.

We don’t really have grocery stores over here anymore. Well we do but not as many as we did in the 80s and 90s. More like fruit and veg stalls at markets and some town centre highstreets

i never knew Best Buy sells fruits & vegetables...

I thought Best Buy sold food too. Maybe I’m mixing it with something else. Anyway, couldn’t care less lol
