I ordered 2 copies and you're right I re-ordered 2 copies separetaly with no delivery cost while they charged me 5,99€ for shipping if I ordered both copies together... just stoooopid!

An important thing regarding that new, annoying surcharge: it means there will be no incentive for non-UK customers to bite to Zavvi's offers: "2 for £30", "4£ off £40"... we would not be saving money buying into this type of offers (only the regular 5-10% discounts no matter how many steelbooks you order will still have value to us, if we buy one).

I ordered this with the 5% discount using my credit card. It's slated for April 5, it was announced yesterday and it was on pre-order to day so that's pretty fast. But if Zavvi decide to change the release date to May or later (like they did with the Departed/Crow/GoNY steelbooks), I will fʉck them up — my credit card expires that month, and I try not to order from PayPal because there's the 1% surcharge (though I had to for Big Hero 6, released after May).

EDIT : Yeah, regarding what I say above, look at this. It's just nonsense:

— When ordered with a bunch of "in stock" steelbooks, posting is €1.29 for the "in stock" ones, €0 for the 2*2 pre-orders :

— When only pre-ordered items are ordered, posting is €5.99 :

— With two Fast and Furious pre-orders, one Frankenweenie, and still a bunch of "in stock" steelbooks, it's €0:

It just makes no sense.

Price is a bit high for my liking (and i have no interest in those bleh z-boxes)

Ordered 2, been having to order 2 of every steelbook from Zavvi as I am planning to move at some point this year...I wish they would let you ammend the damn order!
Check out my post in the Zavvi retailer thread on how to complain about this to Zavvi and the Information Commissioner's Office. It will only be through sheer numbers of people complaining directly to both of those that will force Zavvi to finally do something about it.

BS on the no damaged ones from zavvi shipped to the US. Yours are shipped exactly the same way as mine.
It's not B.S.!! I have never gotten a damaged one from them. I have no reason to lie about it! If I ever do get damaged ones, I will certainly be vociferous about it! (I went off about how they have screwed me on my 'Beauty and The Beast' Steelbooks twice on 2 different orders!) So I am in no way a Zavvi flag waver. Just stating a fact.:)

I have ordered (in the arena of) a hundred steelbooks from Zavvi. Not one damaged. If it happened, I'd say so (they have majorly f**ked up a few of my orders)- But never a damaged steel.
Yes- customer service is shite- but they also have never lost one of my orders, nor have I received a damaged one.
I'm not a Zavvi flag waver- but them's the facts.
If you want "safe and secure" shipping- pay the extra. That is why the option is there.

Wow, you must live next door to the warehouse. They must literally deliver it themselves. Impressive you have never had a damaged item and I have ordered 2 times as much as you have from them and are always damaged in someway (fair enough maybe a scratch or paint chip isn't necessarily their fault but it might be and they are selling it). I've had 3 or 4 lost but turned up weeks later.

Edit: just seen your other posts and realised you don't live in the UK lol not sure why I instantly assumed you did!

I am not sure what percentage we can factor into damage done (or not done) by local delivery. Maybe my post office just kicks butt! (And they don't play after-hours post office Hockey with their packages!) I don't know, but I have only had a handful of damaged steels- strangely, all from Amazon France...

That also, always arrived damaged from France, Germany, Canada or us.
I'm de railing threads here- back to the steel. I really like that colour green with the black and white but like @Noodles said, the border needs to be a bit smaller. And that price is crap too. I've not seen the film yet but I am up for it. I've watched the short on the nightmare before Christmas and that was quite cool.

Yeah, the price could be nicer...BUT they did include the original short film and other extras...So I can, with good conscience, let that go...;)

still not go round to seeing this but is NBX is anything to go by, I'll only be able to sit through the 3D version without getting creeped out (something about stop-motions freaks me out and I cant sit through/watch it)

pre-ordered anyway :)

Ha! The extreme 'uncanny valley' (google it...) exists more in CGI than in Stop-motion.
If you really want the heebie-jeebies- watch the CG 'children' in The Polar Express!!

I don't love the green boarders, but I put in a placeholder order just in case it sells out before I change my mind.

Don't forget to use "vouchc5" for 5% off all orders, valid until 30 April. Something is better than nothing, Or if you are spending over £60 use "vouch60" for 10% off. I imagine if it is still in stock this could come in handy if you are ordering a couple of avengers steelbooks when live on Saturday.
