Need to give EWS another go, but remember hating it when I first saw it some years back. Then again, I initially hated 2001 as well, but now it's one of all-time favourite films. Bare metal finish on these would be an instant cancel! I hardly order general releases nowadays anyway, and only buy Manta's premium releases, so I'm pretty easy with whenever stuff gets released at the mo.

If they're going with original poster art then 'Here's Johnny' Shining steelbook would be cool. Not the weird Saul Bass yellow one sheet though

Received this today from hmv... spot gloss on the title and helmet, and then I can't figure out if the rest is satin, or just a really decent matte finish. Looks nice either way. Excited for Clockwork now, which hasn't arrived yet despite them being dispatched the same time

Yep. Both Kubrick releases are nice thick matte white with spot glossed title and front and back images. I'm assuming nothing else is different from previous releases and the disc contents are exactly the same with UHD and Blu ray discs included.

I picked up Clockwork as I already had the 4k slipcase edition of Full Metal with the head and shoulders coloured design.
These are really nice though. I might invest in them all if we get more in this design but till then. One will do.

Both steelbooks are great. I appreciate a lot having the original movie posters. I was fearing a poor finish. Spot gloss is welcomed. Wish they had gone with embossing. Steels would have been perfect.
