There are two series associated with Fullmetal Alchemist:

1) Fullmetal Alchemist - Original Story - 51 episodes
2) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Closely follows the manga - 64 episodes

I just started watching Brotherhood once again :p, I have only 4 volumes on BD (without Slipcovers :(). Great show, the remake actually surpasses the original, however, I still regard them very highly.

Best anime I've seen so far. Was lucky to get all the blu-ray volumes with slipcases and post cards... bought used & blindly too, got very lucky. Fantastic fantastic show.

I realized I was missing Part 5, I have 1-4 all in slipcases. Although, they never made alternative versions, I just bought 5 and it should arrive tomorrow, I am hoping it's in a slipcase otherwise it's going to drive me crazy. :p

I am incredibly disappointed with the audio on the BDs. Only the crappy English dub has 5.1, why couldn't they have given the JP track a good treatment too? man I hate damn dubs...

I'm watching this for the fourth time now as it airs on Adult Swim.

It's one of the best shows ever done, it doesn't hurt that it follows the manga closely, and the manga was excellent.

Every character received an ending that worked. I really liked that about the show.

This remains my favorite anime to this day. I bought each release of the original and bluray of brotherhood. It mimic'd the manga very well. I only can't decide which of the two series I liked better. Loved both.

I was wondering if someone bought the new Blu-ray Release of the first Series from Funimation. My question is if the Opening and Endings have the original Japanese signs or if they have replaced it with English text.

I prefer to have the original version with the japanese signs and when Funimation released these on DVD they always had both options, sadly in recent years it seams that Funimation does not care anymore and dropped this to only include the altered Versions with English credits.

Anyway I wanted to ask since I have not bought a Blu-ray from them in some time and maybe they have change it.

Hope someone can ansswer my question.
