What’s in the box?! Hint: it’s crisp and refreshing.
Brad Pitt has a brother and his name is Doug Pitt, a businessman, investor and philanthropist who is currently a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania. In other words, he’s a real good dude, and he’s making headlines this week for recreating one of the most iconic scenes from one of his brother’s most well-known movies: David Fincher’s Se7en!
How did this come together, you ask? Well, Springfield, Missouri brewery Mother’s Brewing Company partnered with Doug Pitt’s charity Care to Learn to promote their new Doin’ Good Orange Wheat Ale, and together they came up with the idea of having Doug play the role of Detective David Mills in a recreation of the climactic final moments of Se7en.
Only this time around, what’s in the box isn’t a head. It’s a six pack of stolen beer.
The company explains, “Mother’s found inspiration for our new brew, Doin’ Good, in Springfield’s own other brother Doug Pitt; founder of Care to Learn and all around good guy. To that end, we feel good sending a portion of package sales their way.”
And indeed a portion of sales will be going to the Care to Learn charity, which funds emergent health, hunger and hygiene needs for children. Fun video, great cause. Check it out below!
