I don't own any of these, though, to be fair, I've never really done anything crazy to get a steelbook. I have driven all over the city, to 4 or 5 different Future Shops to find one that is on sale. I really don't feel like that's gonna cut it...

Thank you for the giveaway and congrats on the 2000 posts. I would have to say the only slightest crazy thing I ever done for a steelbook was when I got the Dark Knight blu ray when it just came out and the disc tray inside was broken so I tried to exchange to no avail. I then found someone on craigslist who was selling their Dark Knight Futureshop steelbook so I offered them the new but opened blu ray with an extra 20 dollars, which would become my very first steelbook.

I don't have any of these.

Craziest thing I done was getting up after having a nightmare that play had iron man back in stock, so at 3am rushed down to check if it was in stock...the girlfriend thought we were getting burgled!

Congrats on the 2000 post, it will take me more than 10 years to reach that level.

I am taking my chance for the return of the king (Germany) since I don't own it.

The craziest thing that I did to get a steelbook (resident evil retribution) was telling my girlfriend that I desperately need a restroom so we could stop at Best Buy. While she was waiting for me in the car, I went inside the store to get a copy of the RER steelbook. I had to hide it inside my jacket so I won't get caught. Otherwise, she would be pissed because we were on the way to go to her parent's house for her mom b'day and we were late already :)

Congrats on your 2000th post, the craziest thing that I've done is basically stalk a guy on eBay for his copy of Rambo. I wanted, needed this grail. Over the course of a week I bombard him with messages & offers & he finally gave up & sold it to me at a price I thought was reasonable. :D

Also thanks for the great give-away.

Congrats,
i dont have any of these
dont think it will make you laugh but i found 10 listings on ebay for Pulp Fiction Play.com steel so bid on all of them £10 over what the bid was at, all had less than an hour left thinking i would win at least one. obviously i didnt and am still trying to get it cheap enough. could have gone the other way and i ended up with 10 copies. not funny but the missus thought i was crazy doing it.

Congrats! I'd happily take either of the 3 as I haven't got any of them (would prefer Two Towers USA as its my fave of the three). The craziest thing I've probably done is get hold of the HMV Captain America steelbook case from eBay for a stupid amount (£5 I think with p&p) lol. I don't know what moron decided to part with the case and keep the discs but hey ho - their loss. As I wanted the 3D version I then bought that version online for £13 after cheekily haggling with a private seller then when perfection met perfection my ultimate steel was complete. I sat back and took in my spectacular accomplishment! (it was grand to me anyhoo) what an exciting life I lead eh! :s

Oh I forgot to mention I also went to France to hunt down a few steels including Inglorious Basterds (which I got) the language was a bit of a barrier though because in one store the best English speaking staff member led me to the book section and pointed to a large collection of Dannielle Steel books!

I don't have any of these.

The craziest thing I ever did for a steelbook is this one time someone was having a contest giving away his Lord of the Ring Steelbooks. The winner of the contest had to have a funny story involving doing something crazy for a particular steelbook. The problem was that I had never really done anything particularly crazy to get a steelbook so I had to make something up. I'll let you know how it turns out lol.
