Favourite Bale movie-The Machinist.

Why?-Because he put so much of himself into that role (or removed so much of himself, depending how you look at it!) the transformation was astonishing. His eyes were never the same after that movie!! (check out the funny lines under them since)

Hm, my favorite Christian Bale movie is probably The Machinist. Probably not the best of his, but it's my favorite peformance from him. The movie is just so creepy and Bale delivers an amazing peformance and he makes his character very believable. Not only his convincing peformance, but also what he had to go through to appear as he does in this movie... Damn.

I obviously won't comment on every suggestion here, bc CB is such an awesome actor. But The Machinist is such a great movie!

I cannot really choose between the Machinist and American Psycho. The transformation for his role in the Machinist was increddible. He almost died to due his 500 calories diet. The mad man role of American Psycho was very good as well.

Christian Bale is a great actor and has a lot of great films on his belt. I think my fav is Empire of the Sun, he's so young hes acting is as raw as the role needed or I'm just being sentimental.

Really liked AP but I would go with the Batman trilogy -didnt expect to enjoy them quite so much and thought CB's Batman was best yet!

I too find it difficult to choose between the Machinist and American Psycho (he plays a complete nutter far too well if you ask me ) The Machinist just wins it for me though. Just for the lengths that man went to, he's got to be one of the most devoted actors to make a film seem more realistic.

I'm going to go with American Psycho. That is the movie that really opened my eyes as him being one of the greats. What a cold, psychopathic role, and he played it frighteningly well.

That would be Batman Begins, since it actually was the first movie I saw with him and before that i've heard that people like him, since his success with the Batman movies (and American Psycho, etc.) And yes! He did really well in that movie and ever sence it have been my favorite movie with him.
