It's better than gladiator 2 lol or add a sub instead. Something like Gladiator: Fall of an Empire.. or literally any crappy sub, as opposed to "2". It works for some films, but not this one imo.

I think they thought it was a good call to use Roman numerals "II" instead of "2" tbf but I tend to agree with you, in that I don't think they gave it much thought.

Could of been worse after witnessing the trailer I guess...

Yeah, that's a fair enough thought. I imagine some big wig at paramount thought it up, thinking he was so clever, and nobody dared challenge it lol

Somewhat better I suppose... at least this one has a title. I'll be picking neither up until I've seen the film though... don't have very high hopes for it.

The be fair, if I hadn’t have see it I would have been in the same boat, it’s not as good as the original but it’s no shitshow either.
Ridley still gets a bit carried away with the cgi unnecessary (monkeys) but other than that it’s an enjoyable film. I give it a three maybe almost a four out of five (I don’t do halves )

It all just looks very OTT and super unrealistic to me... almost like Michael Bay directed it. Like yourself, I'm hoping I'll change my mind once I've actually seen it.

It isn't as unrealistic as the trailer suggests, imo. It's just completely unnecessary, and uninspired. Denzel is the only real standout in the film, and it's not even his best performance.

Yep, just another quick cash-in really... same with the third instalment that he's already planning. Not the biggest fan of Denzel nowadays tbh... can't remember the last time any of his roles/films impressed me.
