Agreed. Probably equalizer, which was 10 years ago. I could say similar about Scott, the Martian, 9 years ago. Although I did like Last Duel, but it's not quite the same caliber imo.
He's always been hit or miss for me tbh... he's had just as many stinkers as he has hits imo. I also really enjoyed The Last Duel though.
Scott has always been hit big or miss big. But those big hits really are ******* massive.

Last Duel was seriously underappreciated and underwatched.
It may be slightly derivative using that Rashomon narrative, it still hits powerfully with it's writing, acting and direction.
Terrific film.
I think audiences weren't ready for that kind of film post COVID and ignored it in droves.
It'll be reappraised in years to come. You can bet on it.

Absolutely fantastic movie, and like you say it got completely overlooked!
Also, I like Denzel in most things but nothing touches man on fire for me.
Dejavu, out of time and remember the Titans I really like as well.
I honestly think American Gangster gets overlooked in its genre, watched it a few times again of late and it's really solid. The 4k transfer is excellent.

Again with the March. It's becoming too expensive this month, especially for a film that was very average to poor. So many others to pick up in March.
Hard pass for me. I'm glad I saw it before purchasing. I so wanted to like it but Gladiator 2 was a chore to get through.
