Not related to this movie, but anyone else receiving steelbooks from Zavvi lately not enclosed in their rigid cardboard sleeves? Last two orders my steelbooks have been loose in a box with little protection and one was dented as a result.

I switched to Zavvi over Amazon as my initial orders steelbooks were in very rigid cardboard sleeves and then packed in a box. Now they have dropped their standards. Not sure why. It’s at amazons level almost.

My last couple of orders from zavvi have arrived in a sturdy cardboard mailer specifically designed for steelbooks. Even branded with a 'I love the smell of steelbooks in the morning' logo on the inside flap lol. Standard Amaray releases also have been wrapped in a paper sleeve to prevent scuffing and packed in a sturdy mailer too. Zavvi have improved massively for me personally but don't know if they are shipped from different locations?

They've probably just ran out temporarily, it happens sometimes. There have been a lot of releases lately, plus they've had loads of steelbooks in their sales, they probably just underestimated their last order of mailers.

Received my copy of trick r treat today in one of their sturdy branded cardboard mailers. Maybe they had a temporary shortage or something

I got both on preorder.... But already thinking I'll probably cancel the collectors edition. Just a little too pricey for what's essentially a digpak.

To be fair, the CE is way overpriced; thankfully with the *cough cough discount* at HMV it's just about worth it.
We know the packaging is absolutely stellar because it's most likely the exact same as the Japanese release. Gorgeous texture and colour reproduction artwork. Thick and chunky.
Plus Minus colour of course.

I'm sure the steel will be nice too. I wish really that it had been included in the CE as well. That would justify the full price.

Ive been cancelling my Zavvi for the 20% off hmv but sadly a lot of the things I order sell out really fast and I just aint risking a restock on some of these lol. Although I do have this with HMV but didn't know about the code when I ordered this.
