I hear you guys about the same front and back artwork but I'm not sure what they were to do. The artwork is based on the original movie poster and the whole set (inside artwork and the blu ray disc) is colour-coordinated around the gold theme. A bit easy maybe, but I stand by the fact that this is a truly beautiful steel book, perhaps better appreciated in the flesh.

UK - Goldfinger 50th Anniversary

Another fine steel from Fox today. Nice finish with spot gloss on the 50 and nice debossed title. Copyright is 2014 on the disc, so new transfer?? New features?? Will have to spin, but probably just new picture disc.

Excellent! I will pick it up when it's much cheaper though - same goes for Ghost In The Shell. As for the disc on this one I heard there were 'exclusive special features', so it might be worth looking at the disc to see what those are.

PS: I don't mind the doubling-up of the poster on this one. I like that sometimes - Silence Of The Lambs for example. Back artworks are usually lame in comparison to the front...so why risk it? Saying that, they could've put the 007 logo or something.

Mine arrived, wish the gold was brighter but pretty decent. No new special features, just new disc art, just checked.

Goldfinger Steelbook
Its ok not amazing
In my opinion they over used the use of Gold
It could have been a lot better and used different image and been full gloss

I like
The Debossed Title
Inside Artwork
Blu ray Disc Artwork

I don't like
The Back Artwork they should have used something different
The Front Artwork image is low resolution

For me it comes across as laziness. I'm sure there was something they could have used rather than an identical image. Even if it was just a 007 logo in gold that would have done IMO.

they need to continue releasing Bond movies in steelbook form. So far they havent been bad steels
I agree and hope they do. But remember, this was the 50th anniversary for Goldfinger (1964), many feel it was the first "Great" Bond film hence it being a solo steel release compared to the other run of Bond movies 5 years ago. Doubt we see Thunderball (1965) released (Hope I'm wrong).

I could understand if this had been a brand new 4k restoration like the recent The Good, the Bad and the Ugly but when it's the same disc that's in the box set, what's the point in buying it again?

Cool. I collected the James Bond Car Collection as well. All 134 of them.
I gave up collecting them after issue 9
When I found out how many issues there was going to be at that time and funds were not as good as now

Cool you collected all 134 issues that's a lot of 007 bond vehicles how do you store all of them

I'm a big bond fan but  for collecting all 134

I'm also a Bond fan. When they first came out, there was suppose to be 40, then they extended to 60, then 80, then 110 and then 134. It got to a point where I thought I might as well carry on now and complete it, but it kept being extended. I've got them all and there are some really good models, but some were cars seen for seconds in a film, with no major part. Those were still good quality, but didn't really do much for the collection. Unfortunately, due to lack of space and the shear quantity of the collection, I've got mine boxed up and in the loft. I'm not quite sure what to do with them at the moment.

Here is a complete run down of the collection, if the odd one or two takes your fancy on ebay.
