Got my copy I had pre ordered but was hoping to get my brother one for Christmas but they where all sold out by the time I got off work.

Pre-ordered two. One for my collection. One to watch...which will eventually get thrashed by the kids. I wasn't able to get to store when it opened to see what was out on the floor, but since I had my two reserved, I was fine. So get to BB at 4:30PM and hand the guy my pre-order pick up forms. He goes to the rack behind him and grabs 3 . I was like..oohh. He turns around and tells me they pulled one extra and if I'd like to buy it. so of course I buy it. he hands me the first one to me and I'm like..WHAT! There's a big-a** pick sticker right on the front..haha. Hands me the second, second. then the third...same. I'm still ok. Adds character to my collection. Did any of you that preordered get the same? I'm still very happy though!

@jeroda those big pick up stickers peel off very easily. Just get a small corner then u can peel the rest no problem.

Haha... That was exactly the same reaction I had when I saw my copy. Was not expecting that and completely caught me off guard. I asked if they had any that they could switch mine with that did not have the sticker, but was told they all did. Got home and noticed that there was space between the sticker and plastic (mine was on the spine) so I went ahead and peeled it off without any problems. Was also worried about a spine slash since the sticker covered the spine, but I lucked out and had no visible damages.

So my local BB on Staten Island was apparently sold out in 15 minutes so I called the BB by my office and they had some left do I took an ealry break and took a 30 minute (15 each way ) walk in the pouring rain (nearly a no'reaster in NY) to get my copies. My pants below the knees were soaked through and my shoes were completely soaked the rest of the day but at least I got a copy

Oh and to @dfoles and @Ricker I paid $0.00, $10 reward and $10 gift certificate, Bam!

I stopped in around 2 to pickup my store pickup. No steels out on the floor at that point and they opened at 10. When Cap came out I know people were waiting to get in at open to get them.

Thanks! good to know. I did try to pull one of the corners, but I saw the shrink wrap stretching so didn't try any more. If I try again and pull it off based on your suggestion, can we trade if it doesn't work?

@jeroda sry I opened mine already but I peeled the sticker off first to check for dents or scrathes. Maybe try with the one you are going to open first. Or even if u already opened it, it will come off easy.

The issue you mention with the pick label caused me a problem with my Apes FuturePak i pre-ordered last week. The pick label was stuck over the best buy pricing label so when I removed it no issue with the shrink wrap but it pulled up part of the pricing label causing it to get all screwed up. Luckily I picked up a second copy on day 1 and didn't open it yet so I have one mint unopened copy.

Yep. Same almost happened with the "Avengers" stick on the shrink wrap. If the pick sticker is on the "Avengers" sticker, you have to start on the corner thats on the "Avengers" sticker otherwise it may peel off as the pick sticker is coming up off the shrink wrap. but I was able to get all three of mine off without any damage to the shrink wrap. just go slow....

Hands down most scalped release of the year. I'm not normally one to complain about scalping but when there are that many listed on ebay you have to think that's the only reason half the stores sold out this quickly.

I was in the parking lot at best buy 10 minutes before opening. The parking lot had maybe 5 cars in it. These 2 older ladies (70s atleast) got out of their car and went up to the door to wait. I was thinking no way they are trying to get a steelbook, so I stayed in my vehicle because it was freezing....how wrong I was. My store had 2 copies on the shelf! They got them both! About 10 of us were just standing around in shock. I can't believe I missed this one

Well I guess being new to the steelbook game (but a long time collector) I should have known better. Going forward I will always pre-order 2 copies (1 to open and 1 to admire) and try my luck in person to grab another good copy in case one of the two pre-orders has issues. Of course this only works with stores that are local to me like BB, Walmart and Target. I'm out of luck on international orders like Zavvi or Amazon cause it's a pain to return anything.

Out of roughly 200 plus steelbooks, I have only had an issue with dents or dings maybe 5 times. One was Amazon Fr., a couple from sellers on ebay. Never a problem with Zavvi. The odds of you having to return something is pretty small. I've ordered from Kimchi, Nova, Filmgame-cz, movies-bluray.nl, all the Amazons... No problems. (Knocks on wood). I actually have LESS chance of getting things I want in person at local shops, than online.
Actual dialog from last trip to a local Best Buy months ago to get YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN-
ME: "Where do you have the Steelbooks?"
BEST BUY GUY: "What's a Steelbook?"
So, even domestically, I only shop Online!

10 bucks says they were there to grab GOTG, but NOT SPECIFICALLY the Steelbook version- just the first they saw. That Double sucks!! (Funny...but I'm sorry man! There will be copies around for sure. I would not worry about securing a copy).
