Thanks for the update. Have just sent them this:

Well, seeing as you currently have it in stock and live (http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/guardi...tm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=AffiliateWin) , I fail to see how you are unable to send me a replacement?

Maybe you have overlooked this, in which case, please arrange for a replacement to be sent out along with a return form for me to send back the damaged one you sent me.

Many thanks

- Doubt it will make a shred of difference but let's see.

So how long until this goes OOS?

I so hope is this is not the precedence for future Marvel steelbooks such as Avengers: Age of Ultron when it comes rolling out the stables...

They are such c*nts!!! Excuse my language but that is the prefect word for them in this situation. I hope this is just an error and is corrected soon but I think they might be serious. You wouldn't put the price up that much by mistake. I beg everyone who wants this not to buy it from their website at that price. Just means when the next bunch of marvel steels go on sale they will start pricing at £29.99 or higher!!!

WOW - I actually had a second copy of this on order, as I managed to get it cheaper with a discount code, but then foolishly cancelled it. Wish I'd kept a hold of it now so I could give someone else a chance to get this at a fair price (i.e. the price it SHOULD have been), as this is bloody scandalous.

I also noticed that their miniature Dancing Groot things are £10.99 or 2 for £34.99 - they've completely misunderstood the concept of black friday haven't they.... :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Hahaha seems like it. Or they're trying to recoup their money back from all the discounts in one go.

Does anyone know what the original rrp was? Surely they cant do this

That's what I thought, that a retailer shouldn't be allowed to do this. Usually the RRP is about £29.99 (as often they say 'you save £5 etc) but it seems to have been removed from this one.
Buggers !

I usually cut Zavvi quite a bit of slack, but they really have sunk to a new low on this.

Agreed.

They have actually done some good work recently. They scrapped their crappy packaging and reinstated the (slightly less crappy) white boxes which, in fairness, I've never received a damaged steel in. They've also finally started putting out a lot of high quality steels, especially the Disney stuff, and have put a lot of things back down to reasonable £14.99 prices. They even started putting Out of Stock stuff back online for reasonable prices too, as in prices that were the same or less than they were originally. I mean I'm not saying there hasn't been the odd misstep but there has certainly been less zavvi grumbling in general.

Then this. It boggles my mind how they would think this was a good idea, especially on a day associated with cheaper prices - not prices that have been doubled.

Wonder who, if anyone, will buy at this price. Is it cheaper on ebay?

Defiantly sounds like a bout of price fixing going on here, JJB got ripped a new ring not so long ago for over pricing there Premier League shirts above the RRP.

As much as I'd love to boycott Zavvi ........it's never going to work as they are the only ones' who sell these particular steelbooks in the UK.
This is one of my biggest gripes about retailer exclusives......I know some people like this but I'd much rather just have the Steel !
