This is a Zavvi Exclusive after all. Surely the deal/print run was finalised months ago? Does not all 2,000 or 4,000 (or whatever it was) copies arrive at Zavvis warehouse in one go?

Surely the only way they could be waiting on the supplier is if the print run were extended??

Don't ever remember this happening with any other Zavvi Exclusive before. Sounds like delay tactics until the baby Groot arrives....

Just speculating but it might be something like what Play did back in the day where they were only sent batches of stock and not the whole run at once. They would see how many they had in total, sell them and then request them from supplier (Fox/Disney/Warner).

I do hope they get more form Disney though as mines been awaiting dispatch for 3 days now!

Not saying you're not right, but I can't say I ever remember that happening with Play. I only remember ordering from them, and when it was gone, it was gone. It never came back!

Why receive batches of stock and then have 'sold out' on your site when in fact you're waiting on more? The paying public aren't psychic! As I said I don't remember it happening before (except when they held back stock for Comic-Con)

I agree with you. I can't remember Play restocking once items were Sold Out. I just think they might have had a better grasp on their figures and were more on top of the orders coming in than Zavvi are.

The 'Sold Out' button seems to be many thing to Zavvi. Sold Out = Not live yet/out of stock though cancellations will come back later/awaiting stock/actually out of stock. Just seems like they can't find someone to code more than one button.

It was only £34.99 with the dancing Groot and most peeps were cancelling Groot it as soon as the SteelBook was posted so they were getting it for £24.99.

It is just an automated email. They may be waiting on stock from the supplier or more likely they have oversold and don't have enough stock to cover the orders placed.

I cancelled my order and complained about selling stock they don't have, this is the customer service response.

I am very sorry we were unable to fulfill your order.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3D - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook is on special order with our supplier but at this time they are unable to give me a date for when they will have it back in stock. In the meantime our buyers are trying to obtain this from other suppliers.

I understand this may have been disappointing and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

What a joke they need to sort themselves out.
