Glad I got my order in for this one- saw it in the theater today and it was fantastic. My son wanted to stay and watch it again. Hope for a US steelbook, but have this one as a backup if that doesn't happen.

Yep managed to get my order in on Friday. Saw it Saturday and it's the first time in recent memory that a film has surpassed my already sky high expectations! The most consistently enjoyable film I've seen in ages!

Zavvi have worried me changing the TBA artwork.

I think this will end up title-less and spineless.
I'd be extremely surprised if it ended up with a title/text on the spine, it's the norm not to have any for Marvel's EU releases now.

Managed to pre-order this but will be looking out for a BBY version with the title on the front and spine. Blind buy for me (hopefully going to see the movie on Wednesday) but from what I'm hearing, I've nothing to worry about. Getting great reviews from everyone.

Well the government has promised us an in/out referendum on our membership of the EU by 2017 so forgetting about all the political shenanigans and trade disruptions between other European countries, if that means we get titles on our steelbooks I vote OUT! :D
Ha Ha,Wonder why the government haven't offered the in/out in the four years they have been in power ..hmmmm seriously though,I don't think the titleless/spineless steelbooks are an EU thing, just that everywhere outside of North America is considered the "international" edition

Probably because they know it's an idiotic idea unless they can somehow be out yet retain all the benefits (e.g. the free trade agreement, etc.) but that some people will be silly enough to want it even if we couldn't  (not realising that it'll make practically everything more expensive/devalue our currency). But that's a discussion best had elsewhere. :p

I'm sure they have no titles because EU Steelbooks can often end up with different titles e.g. Captain America: The Winter Soldier vs The Return of the First Avenger (Germany) etc. and it makes sense economically for them just to have one release for the EU with different slips printed, hence no titles on the Steelbook itself. I highly doubt that'd change if we weren't members of the EU, I'm sure we'd still just get the same Steelbooks.

So glad I got my pre-order in for this. Just got round to watching it tonight and it was solid, entertaining fun from start to finish. My favourite Marvel to date without question. I really hopr they keep the first TBC artwork, not fussed about a title but the artwork needs to be big and colorful.

Can't believe this one "sold out" so quick. Luckily I got my order in before it did, but it seems like a comparatively large print run. Am I missing something stupidly obvious? Is it collectors of other Marvel steels wanting to make sure they don't have a gap in their collection? I don't have any others, but this is very much a blind buy for me. Am also really hoping for the original TBC artwork shown in the OP rather than the plain black artwork on Zavvi's site. Can't believe anyone would want that, even on an amaray case.

^^ Lots of factors...Blockbuster movie, great reviews, 5000 run, pre-order early, UK release...BUT if the artwork turns out shite, I'll be cancelling.

5k is actually one of the smallest Marvel print runs to date, the artwork up on Zavvi is very much placeholder art - it's definitely not going to look like that, hence the artwork not final in the bottom corner.
I'd be highly surprised if the title was actually even on the Steelbook itself - they also had a couple of pretty decent promos at launch, bringing the £24.99 price down to £22.97 in my case.

And yes, I'm sure many people that ordered are collectors looking to make sure they don't miss out on any Marvel releases - though unfortunately others are likely simply looking to make a quick buck selling it for super inflated prices around the time it's launched - just go look for Captain America Steelbook on eBay - people are selling a £24.99 steelbook that hasn't been released yet (TWS) for ~£40 or more... and people are buying it, so some people will have ordered not sure about it simply to avoid getting ripped off.

According to the friend I got to order this for me, Zavvi have sent him an email claiming they "oversold" and that the order has been cancelled. Has anybody else been put in the same position?
