According to the friend I got to order this for me, Zavvi have sent him an email claiming they "oversold" and that the order has been cancelled. Has anybody else been put in the same position?
Either that or he's worming his way out of the fact he didn't order you one :wtf:

Thankfully not, though I only ordered one copy. Perhaps they're cancelling orders for people that ordered 2 or more?

Yeah I'd ask to see the email! Lol as I really can't see Zavvi sending an email saying that.
Mystery solved! Turns out he didn't actually order it, although he swears blind he did, and that it must have just been stored in his trolley instead, rather than going through to the checkout. In my opinion, he's talking rubbish, but as he's my friend, I sort of have to give him benefit of the doubt. And besides, worse things have happened (and I got my money back). Thanks for all the responses guys, appreciate it!

To be fair to him, I've done the same on a few occasions and not realised it until I went in to check my Order History!

OK, that makes me feel better about it, thanks [emoji4]
And like I said to him, mistakes happen, and it's not really a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, just quite disappointing. At least he didn't take my money and then not bother.

Zavvi should do something about credit card expired, many pre order are lost because of that ! No way to change the payment, so my pre-order is lost !

No it's not - the payment will fail and they will notify you. You then get an opportunity to submit new payment details. Same thing happened to me back in February.

I agree, though, that they should have some way of letting you amend the payment details in advance, like Amazon does. In so many, many ways, Zavvi could learn SO much from companies like Amazon!

It's weird because i already send an email to Zavvi, they said it's impossible to change the payment and add new card. I really hope you're right ;)

Their response is correct - you cannot amend the payment and add a new card to an existing order. However, when they try to take the payment, it will fail. That's when they'll contact you and give you the opportunity to update or change the payment details to an alternative card or method.

When I sent an e-mail to them back in February in relation to a pre-order where the release date was put back to March (with my payment card expiring at the end of February), they explained to me that would be the process, which it was. Pretty poor on their part not to explain that in their email response to you, though, but unfortunately this is what I have come to expect of them i.e. poor and incorrect information. They must have a vacancy for a decent Customer Services manager!

Thanks for clearing that up as I am in a similar situation, but for Cap2!
