I get that this is a superhero movie, therefore most people would like to have the characters on the cover. Personally, I LOVE this cover art!!! It's a HUGE part of the movie and the main character's storyline. And at least it didn't turn out to be the placeholder, which was that all black steel with nothing but the title on it!

EDIT: After reading some other posts, I do agree that this would've made a better back cover art or slipcover. I just like the fact that it's something completely different but still very appropriate for the movie.

Very brave move having this artwork instead other artwork with the main characters. But i prefer having the main characters which were awesome and for back artwork the main villains (especially Nebula )

Lets see what is the artwork from Canada/ USA and from Asia (Korea, Taiwan,China)

P.S for the sequel steelbook, the artwork will be the same just it will be "Awesome Mix Vol 2 "

What was Disney doing
Mega Strange and unwanted artwork for the front and another no title on the spine means this is another world wide artwork with only the jcard been different in other countries

I even suspect this will be the same in USA with slight differences

I also Don't expect to see even Asian releases been different expect the jcard and Full Slip/Lenticular releases covering up this strange artwork

the art reminds me of the cloverfield dvd steelbook and also the district 9 steelbook... using objects from the film as a concept for the steelbook. its been done before and personally, i dont like it.

i get why they thought it might be a good idea, and fans of the film will understand the reference with the tape, but, it doesnt make for an exciting steelbook. it looks dull, bland and boring. which is exactly the opposite of what the film is
