You don't always get lucky going down that route. I did it when I bulk ordered (Pocahontas, Buried etc) with a discount code, they refused to cancel the remaining unshipped items unless I paid back the discounted savings. In the end, they cancelled it and I didn't owe them anything. So it's worth noting.

Tbh the steelbook was what £24.99 roughly? the discount got me £1 off, so i dont care about paying £1 extra on top lol

And tbf zavvi shouldnt have put the steel upto £49.99 just to make it look like a deal, they are just money vampires.

Well having spoken to someone last night Zavvi are going to be investigated over this item as there has been a quite a few complaints. It is 100% illegal in the United Kingdom either by store or online to increase the price of an item in order to then give some sort of offer/deal. They may very well receive nothing more than a fine of several thousand pounds, but it's better than nothing. If it was a mistake they would have corrected it by now. Whatever happens they deserve whatever they get for outright stupidity, and thinking they would get away with it.

Ok, took a gamble and cancelled the groot figure just moments after ordering the combo. Obviously not shipped the steel yet.

Anyone's guess what happens next.

A. They cancel entire order
B. They charge me full price for steel
C. I get steel for 24.99 (although I used a 10% discount code so actually 21.60)

Yikes. Think back to last year when Zavvi mistakenly sent out PS Vitas to customers who refused send them back. Zavvi didn't like that one bit hence threatening them with court order. As long as it's not them getting fobbed off all it's all hunky dory.

Also, take a gander at the one day deals that have lasted since earlier last week. Who knew one day was made up of 168 hours?

Think it's absolutely despicable that Zavvi are only allowing people to buy this steelbook at its original price by using this offer- it was mentioned above that this is in fact illegal; Not sure if that's the case or not, but morally it's very, very wrong..

Its always worked for me I have used this method about 10 times
You get auto reply message in about 24 hours

Did you not notice the part that states Availability: Stock will be despatched to you as soon as we receive it from our supplier.

It seems obvious to me that when it stated they were in stock they were being dispatched, now it says waiting for stock they cannot dispatch what they dont have.

I think if this is what it states, then it's time to fear the worst i had this status 3 times this year and Zavvi ended up cancelling these orders.

tokaman Fair enough we will have to agree to disagree i know people who have had theirs dispatched when it stated awaiting stock.

Anyway I get the feeling i am gonna miss this again.

I purchased one of these and says estimated despatch date 1/12/2014 we will see. Why they have to wait for stock from supplier i don't know, seems strange. Are these extra to the original 5000 units, or did they not receive the whole order at once, who knows. My copy better be mint especially after being conned into purchasing a toy tree .
