This is zavvi we're talking about after all. They cancel their own items!!!

Damn, any other month and I would have been all over this if that was the case, oh well.

Classic Zavvi week last week.

At one point they were selling complete star trek box sets for around £10 including The original series Blu Ray complete set.

They cancelled my order as it was a "pricing error" yet other people have received them and these are orders of 3-4 at a go.

Then they do this Guardians mess up oh it's back in stock so you order at same time other people order and yet again it's down to Zavvi's lottery as to whether you get sent one.

They are an awful company send out most of the stuff to me in perfect boxes yet inside for some reason the ends are dented is bizarre Amazon don't suffer this as much as Zavvi.

It's almost like they sit there just before dispatch and say "hate customers" then bash your lovely new box set against the wall just before putting it in their pristine box for delivery.

It's all so random and all so nuts.

With my copy of Guardians i too suspect they now fear people cancelling the figure and so are doing delaying tactics.

Zavvi soooooo messed up.

Do Zavvi actually only charge you for the steel when you cancel the Groot though? I can't believe they would do that since YOU are the one who is backing out of the "deal". I'm pretty certain 99% of retailers would not allow it.

It's like going to a store to buy a TV and they say "£200 off when you buy a soundbar", then saying I don't want the soundbar and then keeping the £200 off, right?

I suppose technically they could refuse to cancel the toy unless you returned the Steelbook or paid the non-offer price for the Steelbook but they won't. A lot of people moan about their shortcomings but sometimes we can use them to our advantage.

They better let me cancel my groot toy, or i will be canceling all of my pre-orders with them. Which is close to £200.00 pounds worth, and i will never use them again. They can keep there GOTG steel also, not playing these games anymore, it's starting to get on my nerves that they treat there customers with such disrespect. At the end of the day you have paid full price for the steelbook, so i don't see why you can't cancel the toy tree. I'm a steelbook collector only, don't need a toy tree at my age.

Got one extra now, cancelled mine. Should of been despatched today but still nothing [selling steels they don't even have is strange]. My neighbour ordered 2 copies 1 for him one for me despatched 2 weeks ago they haven't been delivered, so looks like i'm never getting a copy. Glad i have one on order with amazon de my last hope, going to source my steelbooks from elsewhere. Sad when its easier to get one shipped from the other side of the world.

Dunno why I've subjected myself to the purgatorial limbo that is Zavvi back-orders but I figured this might come before the bizarrely delayed amazon.de copy. And I know my son wants a dancing Groot so that's not a problem to do the dual-order - if it comes off!

I actually didn't mind the figure as I'm sure my kids will love it, but zavvi surely reads this and other forums and realized that most if not all Groot figures have been cancelled after the steelbook has been dispatched....

I'm beginning to think the same now mate, they've probably realised what was happening and thought "hang on, multiple Groot cancellations? How do we stop this?" then came up with this tactic. Or they could have over-sold ... it wouldn't be the first time!

Luckily my work colleague is prepared to wait for this so no big deal if it is dispatched in january! And as I said before the Groot will be a wee present to myself

I placed two orders on Friday (before I get my head bit off one is for my brothers Xmas present), one has just arrived the other is still in limbo, I hope they haven't cocked this up by over selling or making me wait till the Groot toy is released

I personally think they have oversold as I ordered one when it first went live (said in stock in my orders) and got the dispatch notice the next day.
When I tested in the late evening the status in the basket said awaiting stock from the supplier but hopefully they will fulfill on their orders

I believe mine has also turned up today.
