I watched it on VHS, I was excited to find an 'import' DVD under M.A.R.K.-13 title in a strange clamshell, then I was ecstatic to have a Blu-ray, three different awesome editions.
Now a UHD !!!1%$£@&! With TWO books, one an unproduced sequel, new commentary, and even a freaking t-shirt, which I'd usually ***** about for uselessly bloating up the price, like those ugly horrible 'blox' crap for Dune, but not this! This I'm getting two of!
And Umbrella linked my favorite fan-made music video instead of a usual trailer. :D

Decent low budget sci horror film. Bit of a cult status nowadays.
Interesting to see what a remaster might look like. It bloomin needs it. Last version I saw was really poor picture quality.

No sreelbook but another fantastic edition from umbrella. They absolutely smash it with these special editions. Saw this back when - it's based on the Alan Moore 2000ad future shock strip, with Ministry soundtrack. Sweet.

You're not far off, it was actually based on the story Shok!
Written by Steve MacManus with art by Kevin O'Neill, which first appeared in the 1981 Judge Dredd annual!
According to director Richard Stanley on social media, there's a chance of a UK release at a later date-hopefully that'll be a Steelbook!
:thanks:

There's only one song, but it's my favorite, "Stigmata". The other great one is by Public Image Ltd, "The Order of Death", to which the fan-made montage Umbrella linked to is set.
Otherwise the original score is by Simon Boswell, and it's pretty good, I like this track:

I remember the art work always interested me big time with that shiny skull. Weird that never saw the movie... is it worth it?

Yes, it's very atmospheric, dirty and gritty, like 'they don't make them anymore'.
Besides a couple of scenes outside on dilapidated streets with drugged out bums (think some of the current LA and San Francisco streets ) in the beginning, it's all very low budget and limited to a single apartment. But I like the actors chemistry and conversations ("it's stupid, sadistic, and suicidal to have childrent these days"), tid-bits heard on the TV or radio about citizens lining up for sterilization clinics for 'a clean break with procreation', and the creators of that bill being found dead in a bizarre something, as it cuts off. Small things like that, along with the melancholic jazzy score and beautiful Stacey Travis in practically the main role, being one of those 'strong female characters' they try but can't properly create now, make it great for me.
There's also the voice of Iggy Pop as a sarcastic radio host, with great opening and closing monologs, that perfectly bookends the movie.

I've created my own 2CD industrial tribute soundtrack with about 20 sound bites recorded off the DVD 20 years ago, and still listen to it regularly. I find some Front Line Assembly, Diary of Dreams and Wumpscut tracks compliment this film very well. Basically you shouldn't listen to me as I'm too much of a fan, to have an adequate opinion. :spoil:

Love the T-shirt! The rigid case looks really good and I do like the slipcover artwork. But the slipcover could and should be a different colour. Or at least have some sort of smooth transition from red, thru orange to pink.
