Chime in or vote in the poll-despite the fact that there are not this many 3D Blu-Rays released yet, I added some larger brackets for anyone who would like to keep contributing to this thread, as the release slate grows.

No 3D titles for me.

Probably I will go up to 1 if will decide to buy "The Hole" in Steelbook (italian edition), but just because the BD has both 2D and 3D movies.

None for me. I'm still waiting for a better price drop in the 3d tv's. Plus, i'd really like one of the ones that are being worked on, which you won't need the glasses. I believe i read somewhere on the net, Toshiba and Sony are both close on making this happen.

3d collection

Hi All,
I finally dived into the 3d world just before Xmas. I bought a 8000 series Samsung 46 inch and with it came a Samsung 3d blu ray player. But here in Spain there wasnt many deals including the films.
I have to say it is an awesome experience. Highly recommended if you can afford.
But warning....there are 2 kinds of 3d as I found out.
The old kind with the red and blue paper glasses and the new with uses the stereoscopic glasses.
My copies of Final Destination and My Bloody Valentine, which I have in steelbook wont play through the new shutter glasses. Just a warning.
However AVATAR is incredible, watched so many times already. Also good is A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, Clash Of The Titans and the newly released, OTT, Piranha.

I have 13 3d blu rays to date. I will list them in order of incredibleness.

AVATAR
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
WILD OCEAN Documentary
GRAND CANYON Documentary
PIRANHA
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
CLASH OF THE TITANS
FIFA 2010
THE HOLE
MONSTER HOUSE
OPEN SEASON
CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS
CORALINE

Looking forward to Resident Evil Afterlife and The Last Airbender both released in 3d late January, and both in Steelbook form.:oohyeah:

I only got a few,

Alice in Wonderland
Coraline
Ice Age 3
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Open Season
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
A Christmas Carol

Alice in Wonderland (free with TV)
Bolt (free with TV)
Space Station
Polar Express

looking to get with employee price next month:
Cloudy with Chance of Meatballs
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Mosters House

Yes but they wont be at consumer prices until 3 years. (According to recent "Sound & Vision" Magazine.

I've been buying the 3D combo packs lately simply because I like the lenticular covers on them! :D Is that sick or what? I don't even have a 3D home theatre.

That's fine. I'm not going to buy one i need glasses for now, and then need to get the one i really want in a few years. Who knows, 3d may not catch on like they think it's going to, and they may get rid of it by then. Plus, i'm only going to be after a 46 inch tv, so once it hits $1500 or less, it'll be mine, if it does indeed stay around.

Theres at least two of us. Although I do intend to have 3D eventually.

No different then all the region B steelbooks I own.

I'll say this though, if you gonna get the movie at release then I guess it merits spending a few extra. But, if you can hold off it'll only get cheaper. You can still go in a store and buy Cars with a disney slip cover ... so chances are you will still be able to get that lenticular long after. They may at some point stop printing the lenticular cause they cost more to make though, but once you see that happen once you could go on a hunting mission :p

I don't mind paying the little extra to get the 3D packs even though I don't own 3D setup. I'm very reluctant to take that step right now since I'm hoping in a few years they will have 3D sets that don't require the glasses. My big question is I wonder if the 3D discs I have now would work in those future sets since these discs are designed for sets with glasses I assume?!?!?

I currently have none. Probably won't be getting any for a long time too. I'm going to wait until 2012 to see if the "3D trend" is here to stay, or if it's going to disappear.
